Our engagement took place in Kenrokuen Garden, beside Kanazawa Castle, during cherry blossom season in Japan. Gilbert planned the most magical proposal beneath the falling blooms on the Hanami-bashi Bridge, the garden’s iconic cherry blossom viewing bridge. While this was the end of cherry blossom season in Japan, it was the most beautiful beginning of our forever.

Following the proposal, Gilbert planned a very special dinner for Kathryn at a French-Japanese fusion restaurant. This was one of the BEST meals of our lives. Here is us with the wonderful chef. :)
