Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place at the Savannah Yacht Club - privately owned and located on the Wilmington River on Whitemarsh Island in Savannah, GA.
The ceremony will take place outside over trimmed grass and the reception will be indoor/outdoor with a covered patio.
The weather could be breezy since the Savannah Yacht Club is positioned on the river, but could also be humid in the mid 70-80 degrees. We recommend wearing something breathable.
Yes, parking is available at the Yacht Club and is free for our guests. You can even park overnight and get a cab home after the reception, but please plan to retrieve your car before noon the following day.
For those guests who'd prefer not to drive, we're excited to be able to provide transportation to our wedding ceremony and reception! The Savannah Gray Line by Kelly Tours will be picking up guests on Papy St. in front of the entrance of the Embassy Suites Hotel in their beautiful air-conditioned trolleys. They will arrive by 5:15pm and depart promptly at 5:30pm and drop off guests at the Savannah Yacht Club with plenty of time before the start of the ceremony. Guests will have an option to depart the reception early at 9:30pm or when the reception ends at 10:30pm to return to the Embassy Suites Hotel for the evening.
The dress code for our wedding ceremony and reception is semi-formal - think cocktail dresses and suit-and-tie.
We recommend that you arrive at least a half hour before the start of the ceremony (i.e. 6:00pm arrival for the 6:30pm ceremony), to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled.
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for a half hour. Guests can head straight inside the Yacht Club or remain outside at your leisure. Bars will be both indoor and outdoor to reduce crowding. Food will be served via stations inside so guests can help themselves to food, then grab a seat inside or outside at any table.
NO ASSIGNED SEATS HERE! We want to keep our guests mingling and not confined to their table, so you'll be able to grab a plate, help yourself to a plethora of food options, and sit wherever you'd like with whomever you'd like.
We are asking our guests to RSVP no later than April 1st, but the sooner the better! Please RSVP on this website using the tab labeled "RSVP". We will not be sending return RSVP's in our invitations.
