We will be second lining from the wedding venue to the Ritz Carlton after the wedding. A second line is a New Orleans tradition where a jazz band will lead us all while we dance in the street and walk to the Ritz to celebrate our wedding. The distance between the wedding venue and the Ritz is 0.4mi. Please keep this in mind when making your shoe selection for the night or bring an extra pair of comfortable shoes if you would like.

We’re thrilled to celebrate our special day with you at the historic New Orleans Board of Trade! Ceremony: Join us in the charming courtyard from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Reception: The celebration continues in the elegant ballroom from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Expect an unforgettable evening filled with the flavors of New Orleans, including delicious local cuisine and an open bar to keep the festivities lively. Bring your dancing shoes—we’ll be dancing the night away! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Downtown New Orleans has many things to do within a walkable distance from the hotels. Please see the "Things to Do" section for detailed suggestions. If your party is small, I highly recommend just walking around the French Quarter and exploring. There are so many great restaurants and bars in New Orleans, you really can't go wrong! The wedding venue is an 11 minute walk (0.5mi) from the hotels. Guests can either walk or take an Uber. Ubers, Lyfts, and Taxis are very easy to find in downtown New Orleans.

Can we bring a gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all! If you’d like to send us a gift, since we live in Rhode Island, we kindly ask that you ship it to our home rather than bringing it to the venue. This will help make our special day stress-free and ensure we can safely receive your thoughtful gifts. Our shipping address is included in our registry. For your convenience, our registry allows gifts to be shipped directly to our home. We truly appreciate your generosity and look forward to celebrating with you! What will the weather be like?

For our northern guests-Hot! High will likely be in the upper 80's and low will likely be in the low 70's. The ceremony will be a quick 30-minute ceremony outside and then we will all move inside to the air-conditioned ball room to eat, drink, and dance the night away!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Elevated Cocktail is preferred. Men should be in a tailored suit (with or without a tie). For women, appropriate options include a floor-length gown, a nice short cocktail dress, or a dressy pantsuit.

Are children invited?

Answer

We love children (especially yours), but we’d like you to join in the celebration and enjoy a night off, so we’re requesting that the kiddos be left at home with a sitter.
