It all began at Grace Academy, our small Christian school in Marysville, WA. We met at the young age of 9 years old at recess. He was running around playing basketball & soccer and I would sit under the bike rack cover and make bracelets. We never really interacted until around 11 years old when we joined our elementary school band. Austin played the trumpet and I played the clarinet. Austin liked to poke fun at me a whole lot so my first impression was that he absolutely hated me! or so I thought... Fast forward a couple years, we were in middle school together and were attending our Junior High retreat. Austin attempted to make a peace offering by buying me a soda from the concession stand and the friendship began. We began talking more around school but it was not until track season where we became really good friends. By the end of the year Austin wanted to make it known to me how he was feeling. He approached my Maid of Honor, Serena, and told her he liked me knowing that she would tell me. I kindly let Austin know that I viewed him as a really good friend, like a brother even! After only a week, I realized that I regretted that decision. On May 29th, 2018 I told Austin I actually did have a little crush on him and it all began. The next day at school was a Wednesday and we had chapel which we usually sat together for. That morning in the locker bay we were so awkward we could not bring ourselves to say hi. We walked right by each other with big smiles on our faces and did not say a word... a memory we both talk about to this day. 7 years later on May 11th, 2025, Austin dropped a knee and popped the question at the location where he had taken me on our first "chaperoned" date. Our beautiful mothers, kindly drove two little awkward 15 year olds to a restaurant called Chuckanut Manor. They sat a few tables over and were the loudest people in the restaurant! It was one of our core memories and a very cherished place for us. After almost 8 years of talking about getting married and planning our wedding the day is finally here and we can't wait to celebrate with you all! You all mean so much to us and it would not be the same without each and every one of you <3
