Yes. This ceremony and reception is both inside and out. October is lovely in Hood River. Expect mild temperatures in the 60s, fall colors beginning to arrive, and a (hopefully) comfortable afternoon outside. Once nightfall comes, it can cool off, and we’ll have indoor/ heated outdoor areas to host.
Imagine a timeless cocktail party, a mid-century house, stunning views, and you get to wear whatever you’ve always dreamed of.
Yes. We have arranged transportation to and from the wedding location. We strongly encourage those planning to imbibe to join the party bus. Details for pickup and drop off will be sent at a later date. Please bring cash to tip the drivers.
We have decided to make this wedding an adults-only affair. The Nafsinger family has generously opened their home to host this celebration; however, space is limited.
We have a small hotel block downtown at the Hood River Hotel, approximately 11 rooms. Additionally, we strongly recommend those traveling to look into the Best Western Hood River Inn, which is actually quite nice and close to downtown.
Hood River is where the Nafsinger Family (Alex's Mother's side) has resided since the '60s. It's a small but mighty fun town, full of great shopping, hiking, and... more beer than you'll know what to do with. Take it all in.
Yes. Hood River is a gorgeous 1-hour drive from Portland International Airport, and we strongly recommend renting a car at the airport. This will also allow the flexibility to explore the Columbia River Gorge at your leisure. Pro tip: If you’re a AAA member, book through them for rental cars at PDX. We’ve received great rates before with AAA.
