Flight

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

There are two major airports in the DC-Metro area but Reagan is the one that's closest to the city center. There is a Metro stop that allows passengers to travel directly into the city with ease after getting off of planes.

Washington-Dulles International Airport

Dulles is the other major airport in the DC-Maryland-Virginia (DMV) however it is farther away to the city center than Reagan. There is also currently a Metro stop and rail being constructed from Dulles to the city center (Silver Line) that is projected to be finished May 2022, further adding to ease of travel!

Amtrak

Amtrak has a major hub right at Union Station in downtown DC. It's a beautiful train terminal with direct access to the Metrorail, Metrobus, taxis, and Uber/Lyft.

Metro & MetroBus

Metro has a great system of transportation throughout the city that can get you virtually anywhere you want to go for reasonable prices. You will need a SmartTrip card or the SmartTrip App to ride, but it works for both the trains and the buses. Visit their website for details.

The Madison Hotel

We have reserved a courtesy room block for our guests at this hotel. It is walking distance to the church (roughly 8-10 minutes on foot). The Madison recently went through some renovations as well, so everything is brand new inside! this hotel includes pet friendly rooms and free wifi. Our hotel block has these room available for $169/night while rooms remain available. This is also the main hotel where the bridal party will be staying. THIS IS THE HOTEL WHERE SHUTTLES WILL DROP OFF GUESTS AFTER THE RECEPTION, but the other hotels with room blocks are a very short walk down the street. It is well-lit and safe for walking at night, especially since the White House itself is only 2-3 blocks away! However, if you feel more comfortable, there are readily available taxis and Ubers patrolling the area in front of this hotel at all hours of the night. Be sure to book soon - there are a limited number of rooms available for our wedding guests and any remaining rooms will no longer be available at the reduced nightly rate starting 45 days before the wedding (September 8, 2022). **Update 6/21/22 - THIS HOTEL WAS RECENTLY SOLD TO MARRIOTT, but we met with them and have a new working link for hotel blocks (see above). All previously scheduled reservations before this date are in record and will be honored so no worries if you already put in your request!**

Kimpton Banneker Hotel

The Kimpton Benneker Hotel is located in downtown DC and is roughly a 3 minute walk to the church. The hotel staff has graciously offered a limited number of rooms at a reduced rate ($219/night) plus the following perks for our guests during their stay: - Free digital newspaper - 24-hour concierge - Complimentary Wifi - PUBLIC bike availability - Yoga mats - Complimentary toiletries - Specialty morning coffee offerings - Hosted evening wine hour daily We recommend our guests book their rooms as soon as possible. While the reduced rates are guaranteed for our guests, the room availability is not.

The Lyle also has a limited number of hotel rooms available at a reduced rate ($179/night) for our wedding guests! Boasting updated, Art Deco-inspired decor in a quieter side street to downtown DC action, the Lyle offers boutique hotel comforts, an on-site restaurant, free wi-fi, and comfortable rooms within walking distance (5-8 minutes) to the church. **The cut-off date for booking at this hotel is 9/21/2022, so make your bookings soon!**
