I had recently moved to Long Beach with a friend, and as one does in a new city and state, I was on all the popular dating apps to no avail. I was ready to give up when I decided to try out coffee meets bagel, not knowing it would change my life for the better. About a week after downloading this app I saw a beautiful recently graduated pharmacist and something felt different, I just had such a good feeling. I sat and stared at my phone for a very pensive 30 minutes trying to think of a line to get her attention. I decided on the opening line "as a pharmacist, you might be the medicine my heart needs." I sent the message and waited until I finally heard that wonderfully engineered sound of a match being made. I had a feeling I knew exactly who it was, and my feeling was right. I knew it was something special when we talked about me living near the beach and how weird it is when it snows on the beach. It was a snowy winter, and I had the brilliant idea to go the beach near me and send her a video of me holding snow in my hand. Fast forward to our first date, where we hit it off so well, we were talked right until the restaurant closed and they had to kick us out. we had our first kiss and my heart was aflutter the whole ride home. Many more wonderful dates, birthdays, anniversaries over the course of these two years later we are living the most cozy and wonderful life together and couldn't be happier.

Patrick and I met in January 2022 on a dating app, Coffee Meets Bagel. I was living in Queens while finishing my pharmacy residency, and saw that Patrick was located in Long Beach. After venturing into the city for a few bad dates, I was happy to meet who I thought was a fellow Long Islander for our first date in Rockville Centre. I was in for a surprise when I found out that Patrick had recently moved to New York, and that he was born in the Bahamas and grew up in Barbados. I will forever be thankful that fate, or a really good algorithm, brought us together. Our first date went so well that we stayed until the restaurant was nearly closing. Patrick and I bonded over our shared values- love for our families, dedication to our friends, and passion about our careers. Some of our favorite things to do together are spending time with our families, cooking, reading, and loving our cat, Luna. I grew up playing volleyball and Patrick, tennis, so we’ve started taking classes in both sports together as a way of sharing our interests. Patrick is my partner in everything and my biggest supporter. I already know he is my soul mate, and I can’t wait to marry him.
