Arrival to Guatemala

24 hours before your trip, fill out the Guatemala customs form online. Take screenshot of barcode and email received when form is submitted. Deplane → head downstairs to Immigration. Show passport. Pick up your luggage at baggage claim just beyond Immigration. Take bags and show your customs form at Customs. They scan the barcode. Only if instructed to, you may need to scan bags at Customs. Follow to exit the doors and look for the “Chan Wedding” sign—your shuttle awaits! Hotel check‑in starts at 2:30-3, essentially upon arrival to Antigua. We will make sure the shuttle drops you off at the correct location and a familiar face will greet you and welcome you to your room :-)

As noted in the invitation - both coordinated activities are totally optional! Nevertheless, we encourage you to spend the day exploring the beautiful city of Antigua. Known for its rich history and stunning colonial architecture, Antigua offers countless opportunities to immerse yourself in culture. Visit historic churches and ruins, and enjoy the vibrant local markets. The city is also a food lover’s paradise, with an incredible selection of restaurants and cafés. The bride & groom need their beauty sleep so will be taking it easy on Friday evening but have fun!!!

VERY IMPORTANT !! If you are leaving Guatemala on Sunday, transportation to the airport must leave Antigua around 5 hours before flight departure! Due to high season, Sundays are peak travel days. (I.e.; if your flight is at 12 PM, leave Antigua by 7 AM) Due to the Lenten celebration throughout the city, there are limited pick-up spots on Sunday. Using the same company as arrival please reserve your shuttle or car using this link: antiguatoursweddings.net/chan-wedding/. Due to the city-wide closures, there are specific and limited transfer times available to La Aurora Airport. The planned departures for Sunday will most likely be: 3:00 am from Hotel Casa Santo Domingo 7:00 am and 10:00 am from Parque La Estación
