How do I get to Pender Island?

Answer

You can get to Pender Island by ferry (from Tsawwassen or Victoria), air (Sea Air, Harbour Air, or Kenmore Air directly to Poets Cove docks), water taxi from Sidney, or private boat directly to the resort. Walking on the ferry? We’ll provide a shuttle from Otter Bay to Poets Cove.

Should I book transportation in advance?

Answer

Yes! Ferry spots, flights, and shuttles can fill quickly, especially Friday and Saturday. We recommend booking as early as possible.

Where should I stay?

We encourage guests to stay at Poets Cove Resort & Spa to fully enjoy the wedding weekend. Options include Lodge Rooms, Cottages, and Villas. Cottages & Villas sleep 6–8 guests—perfect for friends or family to team up!

When can I book a room at Poets Cove?

Answer

The room block opens January 15, 2026. Reservations must be confirmed 60 days prior to arrival. After that, rooms are subject to availability at standard rates.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes, a 2-night minimum is required to ensure guests are present for all wedding events.

How do I book?

Answer

Call 1-888-512-7638 and provide the Group Code W-PROM or mention Kathleen + Jeremy’s Wedding to access the group rate. A credit card is required to hold the booking.

Do I need to attend all events?

Answer

No! But we encourage guests to stay for the full weekend to enjoy welcome drinks, the ceremony, cocktail hour, wedding dinner & dancing, and pool morning.

What is there to do on Pender Island?

Answer

Plenty! At Poets Cove enjoy pools, hot tubs, kayaking, canoeing, tennis, pickleball, a spa, and restaurants. Off-site, explore hikes, beaches, golf, disc golf, distilleries, breweries, and local art & shops.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Although we love your children, we want you to be able to kick back, relax, and celebrate with us, which is why we have decided to have an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements to leave the little ones at home.

Can I take photos?

Answer

We have hired a professional photographer to capture our special day and ask that you do not use your cell phones during the ceremony. However, you are more than welcome to take photos and videos of the rest of the night! It is highly encouraged to take landscape videos and share with the bride and groom afterwards!

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honour us with a gift, we would be deeply grateful for a contribution toward our future together.

What is the dress code?

The wedding party will be black tie. Guests are asked to wear cocktail or formal attire to complement the elegance of the occasion.

When should I arrive?

We encourage guests to arrive on Friday, around check-in at 4:00 PM or later that evening. Once you arrive, please join us for the welcome gathering—a casual evening of drinks, appetizers, and mingling to kick off the wedding weekend.

After we say “I do,” we welcome you to join us for cocktail hour and then reception to follow.

Will there be an open bar?

There will be a cash bar. Please bring cash or card for drink tickets!

What time does the reception end?

Answer

The reception will officially end at 1:00 AM, with the last call at 12:30 AM. Guests are welcome to continue celebrating privately in Cottages or Villas, but please note that the resort’s noise curfew is 11:00 PM, so we ask that any after-hours gatherings be kept low-key.

Although we would love to offer a plus one to all guests, we have a strict guest list to meet our venue restrictions. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you!

When you RSVP, there is a question prompt for anyone with dietary restrictions. If any changes, you can always drop Kathleen or Jeremy a message and we will inform the venue and they will accommodate any of our guests accordingly.
