Flight
Kiawah Island is 33 miles from the Charleston airport and is about a 45 minute drive. The second half of the drive is absolutely beautiful with live oak trees with Spanish moss so please plan to arrive during daylight if you can!
Rental Car
We highly recommend renting a car as Uber/Lyft are not currently available on the island. If you prefer not to rent a car, you can use Uber/Lyft to get from the airport out to the island and then can call the resort to book a car service to take you back to the airport following your stay.
Travel Note
Once on the island, guests who have booked accommodations through the resort (either villas, homes or The Sanctuary noted below) will have access to the complimentary Kiawah Island shuttle service which can take you to any resort-owned venue (golf, tennis, pool, restaurants) from 7am - 11pm. Please call 888-601-4904 Ext 82900 to make reservations.
Travel Note
The River Course is a private venue so, unfortunately, guests will not have access to the complimentary shuttle service mentioned above. We are in the process of securing transportation to and from the River Course so please share your accommodations on the RSVP form to be included in the invitations to follow in a few months.
House Or Rental
We have a limited number of two-bedroom villas available for $299/night. Reservations may be arranged by calling 866-763-5056. Please reference the group Fite/McLean Wedding Guest Room Block or the group booking number of 20570 when calling. While this is probably the most cost-effective option for accommodations, you will not be able to view the villas prior to booking. We suggest being as specific as possible when booking and, for couples planning to share a villa, please request villas with either king or queen beds:)! Since these villas are in a rental pool, some of the second bedrooms may very well have bunk beds/two smaller beds to increase the number of guests they can accommodate. Most of the villas should be in West Beach close to the Welcome Party and roughly 3 miles from the Ceremony/Reception. You will have access to a complimentary shuttle service from to any resort-owned venue from 7am - 11pm. If you would like to book alternate accommodations through the resort, you will receive a 10% discount when referencing our group name/number. Kiawah Resort offers additional two and and three bedroom villas and private home rentals which are great options for larger groups planning to stay together. By booking directly through the resort, you will receive discounted accommodations, discounted rounds of golf and the complimentary shuttle service noted above.
Hotel
The Sanctuary is a beautiful 5-star hotel on the island but is admittedly a little pricey. Reservations may be arranged by calling 866-763-5056. Please reference the group Fite/McLean Villa Resort Wedding Room Block or the group booking number of 20570 when calling and you will receive a 10% discount and have access to the complimentary shuttle service noted above.
Hotel
843-793-6050 The Andell Inn is a Marriott hotel located in Freshfields Village at the very beginning of the island. There are many restaurants and shops at Freshfields.
House Or Rental
Villas and houses can also be booked through third party vendors such as Pam Harrington Exclusives, Sweetgrass and Akers Ellis. Please note that you will not have access to the complimentary shuttle and some of the resort amenities or discounts if you book through a third party.
