Please arrive by 1:30pm. The ceremony will begin punctually at 2pm. Please take your seats as it will be a quick ceremony and we don’t want you to miss it! Drinks reception will immediately follow.
We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.
We love your little ones! However, this will be an adults only event. We want to encourage you to enjoy your night out! If you are seeking childcare we recommend contacting Donegal Wedding Nanny at weddingnannies2023@gmail.com
The ceremony and reception will be indoors. However, we hope to have the drinks reception outdoors. We will also have access to an outdoor area throughout the wedding. Prepare for rain - pray for sun! Please note Irish weather can be unpredictable and dress accordingly.
The best way to get to Harvey’s Point is driving and staying at the venue’s hotel. If you're traveling from the U.S. we encourage renting a car to get to the venue and check out what Ireland has to offer! Please see the following link for more information: https://mcglincheyweddingmakeatripofit.my.canva.site/
Harvey’s Point is a wedding venue and hotel - with many room options from deluxe doubles that can sleep 7 people to executive doubles with balconies and lake views to the lodges. We encourage guests to sleepover! Booking online is now available - we encourage you to book as soon as possible as it is a popular hotel. If you prefer, there are hotels in Donegal Town, which is about a 10-15 minute drive. You would be responsible for transportation, there are multiple taxi companies in the town and many hotels will offer taxi pick up. Some Donegal Town hotels are: The Central Hotel, The Abbey Hotel, Mill Park Hotel, Gateway Lodge, Donegal House. For Saturday, we recommend anyone partaking in the afters party in Dungiven to stay at the Roe Valley Resort Hotel. You can book your stay online now.
I thought you'd never ask! Please click the "make a trip of it" link for sightseeing recommendations from the bride and groom (but mostly the bride). https://mcglincheyweddingmakeatripofit.my.canva.site/
- Welcome Drinks is cocktail attire. We recommend cocktail length dresses or skirts and polos or button down shirts. Please no jeans. - Wedding day is formal attire. We are here to celebrate all our family and friends coming together and encourage fun colors and patterns! You can find more inspiration linked here: https://pin.it/2wF5DGe5y - Day 2 party is dressy casual attire. Wear what you would wear to your birthday party or a fancy night out! Outside of wedding events, we suggest always dressing in layers and packing a light rain coat while in Ireland!
For anyone that is unfamiliar with the Day 2/After event... it is a wedding tradition that typically offers a more informal and relaxed gathering the day after the main wedding ceremony. It is a chance to continue celebrating and socializing with some casual food, cash bar and live music. We will be holding this in Declan's hometown, Dungiven GAA club. We will be providing transportation to and from Roe Valley Hotel, which is about a 20 minute drive.
Please RSVP on our website by September 1st.
