What's the dress code for the ceremony?

Answer

Formal! This means more polished than casual wear, but not quite as fancy as tuxedos and ball gowns. For men, this usually means a suit or dress pants with a shirt and blazer; for women, it could be a maxi dress, a dressy jumpsuit, or a skirt and blouse combination. With the weather being pretty chilly in the summertime, consider your outerwear! The ceremony site is up on a hill, so make sure to consider practical footwear as well... you can always change your shoes afterwards ;)

How can I get around?

Answer

If you're flying in or traveling in from out of state, we highly recommend renting a car for the weekend. Tomales Bay is somewhat remote, but there is a lot to explore in the surrounding area! Consider sharing the car rental with other guests if renting your own car isn't feasible, and let us know if you need us to play matchmaker!

Mildly cool and breezy! The average temperature in Tomales in August for a typical day ranges from a high of 74°F to a low of 56°F. The Bay Area is famous for it's microclimates, though, so make sure you double-check the forecast before you pack!

What's the cell reception and WiFi situation?

Answer

Cell phone reception around Tomales Bay is limited. You’ll be able to access Wifi at Marconi or wherever you plan to stay, but it's something to be aware of when arriving and/or coordinating with others throughout the weekend!
