We are so excited to celebrate safely with everyone in November!

We met at the Lynn Conservatory of Music where we were both starting our Masters degrees. I had just moved to Florida from Chicago and we immediately became best friends. He claims our first “date” was reading the Conus Violin Concerto for each other, which we both just happened to be preparing for the school’s concerto competition. I guess the rest is history!

We were visiting my family in New Jersey for Thanksgiving and we had decided to do the big family dinner on Wednesday since we had to fly back to Florida on Thursday morning. After doing all the grocery shopping, my dad suggested at the last minute that we scrap the turkey and go out to dinner instead. I thought it was a bit odd, but it also happened to be my dad’s birthday so I decided to go along with it. We ended up going to Mastori’s, which has been my favorite restaurant since I was a kid and I had been meaning to take Yordan there for years. Since it was my dad’s birthday, I did the whole sneaking over to the waitress and asking her to bring a piece of birthday cake out for him after dinner. After we finished eating (the most delicious prime rib) Yordan said he needed to go outside to call his brother. Slightly perplexed, I thought he was going to remind the waitress to bring out the cake for my dad. Little did I know, he was asking them to bring out glasses of champagne, and when he came back inside he got down on one knee and proposed in front of my dad, my brother and an entire restaurant full of people. It turns out he and my dad had been planning for months and even chose and designed the ring together. I can’t believe he managed to keep such a big secret for so long. I had absolutely no idea it was coming, even though most of our friends and family were in on it. The ring and the proposal were more perfect than I ever could have imagined and I cannot wait to start this next chapter of our lives together.
