Murphys is known for its laid back wineries and tasting rooms, all within walking distance of downtown. Ironstone Vineyards, Hovey Winery, Lavender Ridge Vineyard, Milliaire Winery are a few of our favorites. (No reservations needed for most tasting rooms, but weekends can get busy.)

Downtown Murphys is perfect for wandering. Pop into local shops, art galleries, and tasting rooms, or just enjoy the slower pace.
If you’re up for fresh air and views: Mercer Caverns, Natural Bridges, and Calaveras Big Trees State Park are all great options for an easy walk or scenic drive.
