Even if people don’t call you Ishmael, you can check out the tall ships of New England, and much more, at the largest maritime museum in the United States.  Note: Wedding guests receive discounted admission to the Museum. Just mention the Johnson/Berris wedding at the ticket booth.

Mystic Aquarium

Rhode Island Coast

Rhode Island Coast

151 Bay Street, Westerly, RI 02891

Mystic is a short drive from the Rhode Island coast.  Pop over to Watch Hill, Rhode Island and check out the serene beauty of Napatree Point Beach, and eat at the legendary Ocean House hotel, which also happens to be next to Taylor Swift’s mansion and offers great views of it (locals say that on a foggy day you can see the ghost of Tom Hiddleston wandering the lawn in front of the mansion).  Or, for an easier family outing in the same area, take advantage of the ample parking and broad swath of sand at Misquamicut State Beach.

S&P Oyster Co.
