FAQs

Question

Are overnight accommodations required?

Answer

Absolutely not! We understand if you want to make a weekend away out of it, but we've designed our wedding so that you can easily come to and from New Jersey or New York City in the day (Metro North is 90 minutes or less from each town to NYC). We won't be having a huge after party or brunch the next day, so there's really no pressure to stay! However, if you do want to stay in Cold Spring overnight, we recommend booking as soon as possible, as both inns are very small. For out-of-town guests, remember you can also stay in New York City. Metro North leaves from Grand Central and Harlem 125th.

Question

Will you provide shuttle service?

Answer

We will be providing shuttle service after the ceremony to the reception and after the reception to the Garrison train station. The chapel is across from the station in Cold Spring, so you really don't need a shuttle to get there. If you miss the train to the chapel and need to meet us at the reception in Garrison, or if you choose to stay in a hotel, you will need a car/Uber/Lyft, etc. There is also parking space at both venues, for those who prefer to drive.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. We suggest you bring (or wear) comfortable shoes to walk up the pathway to the chapel, as there is some gravel.

Question

What about weather?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception venues are indoors and have heating and air conditioning, so we are prepared for all possibilities! Please note, there will be a few instances where you will need to be outdoors for a few minutes (walking down the pathway from the chapel to the shuttle bus, waiting for the train at the end of the night, etc.).

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
