If it weren't for her, none of us would be here today. Literally! Vicki grew up with Jon's mom, Kris, and went to high school with his dad, Mike. She introduced Jon's parents at Macomb Community College in the 1970's. Vicki later went on to birth the bride in 1988.

Mike has known Katherine and Jon for all their lives, and has Vicki to thank for it - Because, again, if it wasn't for her none of us would be gathering for K & J. Mike is proud and happy for these two to finally follow through with the alleged arranged marriage, so not to have to compensate Vicki for Jon's blindness to the beautiful Katherine for so long. God is good 🙌
Candice

a.k.a Katherine’s older Sisitor. They may be 8 years apart but you’d never know it. They have a strong bond and are closer than you could imagine. Most people want to know where Sisitor came from...when Candice’s daughter, Rosie, was born she was in the NICU for a couple of months. Katherine was upset they didn’t have an aunt sticker (like grandma and grandpa). So she changed the V in Visitor to an S each time she visited. It’s stuck ever since.
Scotty
Best Man
Brothers from other Mothers, Scotty and Jon met online Summer 2008 through Michigan Tech University's roommate matcher program. They connected based on interests and lifestyles, they started chatting, and the rest is history. Scotty and Jon have been best of buds ever since. Even though they only lived together at MTU for a year, no time and space can keep these two apart. Seriously. Just ask their SO's... 😂❤️

a.k.a. the Other Seester to Katherine. Katherine and Kyrea met in elementary school where they became friends. They grew into the unlikely pair of best friends in high school. They are the cliche inseparable blonde and brunette besties.

Nick and Jon have been best friends since 5yrs old when they met at Fox Hills Preschool in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Their families are family, and have been through almost everything together. Even though distance and life pursuits have varried for these two, they'll always be brothers and with each other through it all.

Katie and Katherine’s story begins in middle school where they’d stand outside the band room not saying a word to each other. They just stood together, in silence, so they weren’t alone. As soon as one of their other friends came they’d turn to talk to their friend. However, they’ve never left each other side and are comfortable with silence so they can just be with each other. They’ve always been there for each other no matter what. Katie is the bestest.
Colin
Groomsman
Colin and Jon (still a.k.a. Jonny to some) met at through Cub Scouts at St. Hugo. They later grew to be much better buds through all the Boy Scout events and experiences growing up through middle school and high school, always challenging each other to be their best, and go the extra mile. Their families are good friends, and have watched Colin and Jonny grow into the men they are today. Though distance and life often get in the way for these two, they're always able to catch up and pick back up where they left off. They're best buds who always pull through.
Cassie

a.k.a Katherine's favorite redhead. Cassie and Katherine met in college at a National Honor Society. At first they both thought the other was stuck up and no fun. However, they then ruled the NHS together for 2-3 years and became the best of friends. Katherine didn’t have anywhere to live senior year in college and asked to room with Cassie and her friends. That’s when their bond thickened and they haven’t separated since. Although they live miles part, technology keeps them together.

Jimmy and Jonny met through Scouts at St. Hugo as well. Their experiences through Scouts and life as they've gotten older have brought them closer together (pilot to bombardier!). These guys are pretty much always giving each other crap, but man do they have stories - some they've had to help each other remember! Jimmy and Jonny are great Bros, and will forever be sharing the laughs 😂
Riss

Katherine met Riss the week she asked to live with Cassie in college. The three lived together senior year of college and had the best time getting to know each other. Life took them separate directions for a short time but they were brought back together to conquer the world. Riss is the best motivator, booster, friend and person anyone could have. Riss’s faith, strength and wisdom helped get us here today.
Ben

Ben hails from the great state of Maryland, where he met Jon through working for Boy Scouts of America at National Capital Area Council. Just mere work associates, Ben invited Jon to be Co-Director at Camp Wall on Saint Croix in US Virgin Islands for a month. Not only was that an experience of a lifetime for these two, but they got to know each other so well through those experiences as well. Post Camp Wall, Ben and Jon remained roommates on the mainland, and (probably) saved each others lives in one way or another, far too complex to share here - Ask Ben about it at the reception! Deez two be jammin' brudd'ahs for life, Mon!

Newest bestie met through Cassie and Riss. Stef is also the magnificent baker who made (will make) the amazing cake for the couple. Stef has become another person Katherine can’t survive without. She is the best cook, supporter, realist, and has the sweetest heart.
Mike

Mike, husband of the Matron of Honor, is Jon's soon-to-be Brother-in-law (and vice versa). The two met at some Miller/Darden family get together, likely up north in Michigan at "The Lake" when Jon was in middle school and Mike was dating Candice. Slowly getting to know each other more and more over the years, it’s quite fitting for these two only children to become brothers - and they are ❤️
Andrea

Andrea and Katherine met in high school where they first disliked each other and then became the best of friends. They rekindled their love over their love of giant bows for babies. Katherine turns to Andrea to keep up on the latest JonBenét Ramsey findings.
Lucie

Remember how we mentioned life took us in different directions before? Well, Katherine ended up marrying someone else for a short time. Lucie was born in October 2013 and the best gift Katherine received. Katherine and Jon wouldn’t change their paths for anything. Everything led them to this moment and they couldn’t be happier. Lucie loves Jon and they have the best time together. Excited to grow their family in time.
