Beach Avenue

Washington Street Mall

Washington Street Mall is a four block pedestrian mall in the heart of historic Cape May. Browse local stores and choose from several local casual restaurants for lunch.

Congress Hall

200 Congress Place, Cape May, NJ 08204

Congress Hall has been hosting visitors to Cape May since 1816. Enjoy an upscale cocktail at the Brown Room, lunch at the Blue Pig Tavern, or shopping at Tommy's Folly, all located inside the iconic hotel.

Cape May Lighthouse

A short drive out of town, walk the 199 steps to the top of the Cape May lighthouse for panoramic views stretching across the Delaware Bay. In the parking lot of the lighthouse, there is a trailhead for several lovely wheelchair accessible nature walks ranging from 0.5 to 2 miles.

West End Garage

A five minute stroll from Congress Hall and the heart of historic Cape May, the West End Garage is a collection of independent vendors featuring antique furniture and accessories, vintage memorabilia, artwork from local and regional artisans, estate jewelry, and more.

Cape May Trolley Tour

Head to the booth at the corner of Ocean Street and Washington Street to hop on to one of the red trolleys for a guided tour of Cape May. Multiple tours are offered daily including Welcome to Cape May, the Historic District, Ghosts of Cape May, and many more.

Emlen Physick Estate

The Physick Estate is a Victorian house museum offering daily tours detailing the history of Victorian architecture and the Physick family in Cape May. Advanced reservations suggested.

Beach Plum Farm

Located less than 2 miles from the heart of historic Cape May (and on the way to the lighthouse), Beach Plum farm is a working farm that is a local culinary destination. Stop by for a delicious breakfast sandwich, tour of the farm, and shopping.
