We can't wait to make it official in beautiful Santa Barbara. This has been a special place for Katherine her whole life, and she and Neil have made many wonderful memories together here over the past several years. We appreciate you traveling to celebrate with us and are excited to share this beautiful city with you over the long weekend!
In May of 2020, Neil messaged his brothers asking whether he should adopt a very cute pup from the SPCA. He wasn't quick enough and someone else adopted the puppy. Fast forward a couple months — Neil spotted the very same dog on Katherine's dating profile and sent her a message about it. We met up for our first date in July of 2020 and went on a socially-distant picnic in Alamo Square Park. We each brought our own beverage and blanket (BYOBB) and sat six feet apart while we talked for hours. Our next two dates were also outdoors — Mexican dining on a patio and going for a hike (with puppy Bugsy of course). By the end of the third date, we decided we liked each other enough to be in each other's COVID pods, and the rest is history. A pandemic-era love story. We also still joke that our relationship is just a reaaalllyyy long con for Neil to get to Bugsy.
• Neil tried to adopt Bugsy but Katherine got to him first • Neil grew up in Woodland and Winters, and Katherine grew up in Dixon just one town over • Katherine grew up doing theater in Davis with students from Neil's high school in Sacramento • We worked approximately four blocks apart in San Francisco for more than a year • We both grew up with almond orchards in our backyards
