I often find myself in the Emergency Room for different reasons as a police officer. I saw Katelyn working one night and thought "that one."(Picture me: hair up, no make up, hot mess express running around the ER) I was in a hurry and I figured she was probably a nursing student and I wouldn't see her again so I forgot about it. A couple days later, I was in the ER again and there she was (still a hot mess), so I started asking around about her. (Suddenly my nurses were super interested in my dating life and I thought they just liked me 😂.) The third time I saw her I decided to ask her out, but right before someone came up and said "Dr Harris..." and I had no idea she was a doctor. So after rethinking my plan and getting some encouragement from friends, I ended up sending her a message and asking her out anyway. We texted all weekend and ended up having coffee on Monday. And then I saw her again Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. (We have been pretty much inseparable since.) (Katelyn's Commentary 😂)

About us! Katelyn: I guess the bullet points are I'm an Emergency Medicine Physician who grew up in a big, complicated family. I love travel, cooking, cocktail bars, adventures, and love. People would probably say I'm a little quirky and a bit sassy at times. I'm a weird mix of glam, professional, nerdy, wanderer, hostess. Travis: I am a Police Officer going back to school to enter into the medical field. I'm an avid outdoorsman and spend as much time as possible hunting, fishing and exploring new territories. I also enjoy working out and other physically demanding activities. Most of my free time is spent catering to my dog, Beau. First Date We met up at a local coffee shop in downtown KC. Turns out it was his first time down there, but he braved the city and we talked for hours. I had plans with girlfriends that night, so he drove me to my girls night so we could have just a few more minutes together! Favorite activities together We love to cook together! We make the perfect kitchen team. He helps me with chopping, grating, and cleaning up and I do all the putting stuff together. Unless we are talking about the grill. Have you had one of his burgers? Heaven. We are also big on taking adventures. Whether we are checking out a new cocktail bar or brunch spot, hiking new trails, or exploring a new city, we are constantly on the move.
