FAQs

A few helpful details for our guests.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love for guests to dress in semi-formal attire. Since our wedding is on October 31, feel free to embrace darker fall colors, but no costumes during the ceremony or reception. Save those for the Halloween after-party, where dressing up is highly encouraged… actually, required.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors in front of the lake, and the reception will be held under a tent. Since it’s October and the weather can be chilly, we recommend bringing a blanket, sweater, or cardigan for comfort. The reception tent will have heaters to help keep everyone warm. If it rains, both the ceremony and reception will move under the tent.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early to get seated before the ceremony begins.

Question

Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

12606 N State Highway 21, Cadet, 63630. Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the same location so guests won’t need to travel between venues.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes! Limited on-site parking will be available at the venue, so we kindly encourage carpooling whenever possible. In the event of rain or overflow parking, additional nearby parking will be available at 13047 MO-21, Potosi, MO 63664. If needed, transportation assistance/shuttles will be available to help guests get to and from the ceremony site.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Since our wedding falls on a holiday, we welcome children at the ceremony, reception, and Halloween after-party. We simply ask that parents use their best judgment and step out with their child if they become disruptive. We truly appreciate your help in keeping the ceremony and celebration enjoyable for everyone.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will say so. We kindly ask that you follow the RSVP names listed.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please note any dietary needs when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure accommodations are available.

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We do not have an official hotel block, but we will have a list of recommended places to stay in the “Travel” section of our website to help you plan your visit.

Question

Are phones allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony. Please keep phones away until after we say "I do." Photos during the reception are totally welcome!

Question

Where is the Halloween After Party?

Answer

To continue the celebration on Halloween night, we’ll be hosting a Halloween After Party at the Arlington Event Center located at 207 E Main St, De Soto, MO 63020 from 8:00–11:00 PM.

Question

Why a Halloween After Party?

Answer

Since Halloween is our favorite holiday, celebrating it with friends and family has become one of our favorite traditions. After the wedding ceremony and reception, we wanted to extend that celebration to anyone who would like to celebrate Halloween with us or continue the festivities a little longer. Family-friendly Halloween costumes are highly encouraged, and guests are welcome to stop by at any point during the evening!

Question

Where should we send gifts?

Answer

Your presence is truly the greatest gift, but if you’d like to bless us further, we’ve included both a traditional gift registry and a honeymoon fund here on our website as we prepare for our once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon to Japan. Simply click on the ‘Registry’ tab at the top of the page to view gift options and honeymoon contributions.
