Brambly Park
Urban park with picnic tables, outdoor games, and live music (check their schedule!). A winery and restaurant are onsite for food and drinks!
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
The VMFA is a great place to check out some art while you're in town! The museum is free (certain exhibits are paid tickets) and it also has a great outdoor area to hang out on a nice day. Their restaurant, Amuse, is very yummy as well!
Maymont
A 100 acre park filled with gardens and animals (a nature center, farm animals you can feed, and wildlife habitats - including a black bear!) to explore. If you're traveling with kids, this is a great daytime activity. Pack a picnic to enjoy before walking around!
Belle Isle
The James River park system is great area to go on walk, explore, or play in water (if it's not too cold!). Check out the link for parking recommendations.
