FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We suggest that men wear a Traditional Barong and women wear an evening gown, midi or knee-length cocktail dress. Our other only request is to please avoid wearing white for the women.

Question

What accommodations are available for out-of-town guests?

Answer

We understand that many of our guests will be traveling from out of town to join us for our special day. To ensure your comfort, we've arranged room blocks at Brittany Hotel in Villar City. Guests may book through Emman from sales at: eldonceras@brittanyhotelvc.com +63-939-926-8739 (Viber/Whatsapp) and please let them know that you are our guests to get the Corporate room rates.

Question

When should I start looking for tickets?

Answer

Book now! ^.^ Compare different airlines to find the right price and flight times that works for you. See Travel section for more details.

Question

How long is the flight?

Answer

If you will take a nonstop commercial flight, its 19hrs and only Philippine Airlines offers the "non-stop" flight to the Philippines (they still make a stop in LA). All other flights are about 21-25 hours including one layover for 2-4 hours in Korea, Taiwan or Singapore depending on your airline.

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, shuttles will be provided to/from Church and reception and back to the hotel. Please RSVP so we will have an accurate head count for the number of shuttles we would need. No one gets left behind!

Question

What would the weather be like?

Answer

February is in the middle of the dry season. Expect temperatures of between 75°F and 88°F (23°C and 31°C) in most places.

Question

What is a safe and reliable mode of transportation?

Answer

Grab App. There is no Uber in the Philippines so we highly recommend downloading the GRAB APP and setting up your account before travelling to the Philippines. We have used this App when we last visited and it was easy to use. I would recommend using a credit card with no international fee.

Question

Are bank cards/credit cards widely accepted?

Answer

Yes! Most establishments accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover and Amex but Cash is King everywhere!

Question

How much is the exchange rate and where can I exchange cash?

Answer

The exchange rate clearly depends on the market but just to have an idea 1 USD is around 50-56 Php. There are banks around the city but you can also exchange Dollars to Philippine Peso at the airport right at the lobby, there are lines of windows for currency exchange. When we visited, we used the BDO Bank to exchange cash just before stepping out the airport to have some cash. BUT we do not recommend exchanging and carrying large denominations of cash.

Question

Where to go and what to do before/after the wedding festivities?

Answer

Besides trying different yummy restaurants and soaking at the beach, we are currently in contact with a travel agent who can give the Philippine travel rates. Here is the Travel Agent that was recommended to us: Sheryl D. Epino Skyjeks@gmail.com, Jeks.Acctg@gmail.com +63-917-875-4255, +63-912-768-3042
