Rachel is my super awesome older sister. She is a dermatologist and has been living in Dallas, TX for the past several years. She's excited to have just bought her first home in another Texas city she likes much more than Dallas: Houston! She's looking forward to remodeling her new house and starting her new job this summer.
Allison Irwin

Allison and I first met in the 7th grade in the girl's locker room where she was fighting with my other bridesmaid, Rosemary Archibald. I was being an instigator and egged them both on but we all eventually became friends. Allison is from Pittsburgh but currently lives in Phoenix, AZ with her husband Chris and their two dogs.

Rosemary and I also met in the 7th grade at The Ellis School. We both went to Indiana University after high school where we continued our friendship and even lived together our junior and senior years. She moved to Edinburgh, Scotland for graduate school, met a nice Irish boy, got married and never returned to the USA :( She and her husband, Richard (Archie), have two children, James and Róisín.
Alejandra (Ali) Whitehurst

Ali is my first cousin (daughter of my mom's sister, Cindy). She's pretty much our fifth sibling. We tormented her mercilessly growing up and I'm surprised she still talks to us. She currently lives in Denver, CO where she works in sales for Danone. She is getting married this October in Colorado!

Liz joined our crew at The Ellis School in the 9h grade. We have remained close friends ever since! Liz lives in Pittsburgh where she teaches high school math at Taylor Allderdice in Squirrel Hill.
Katybeth Allen

Katybeth and I first met in the 8th grade. One morning, the principal told me I would be in charge of showing a prospective student around for the day. This job was usually reserved for the goody-two-shoes students in my class who were always on their best behavior (which I certainly was not). So, I knew there must be something wrong with this kid for them to pair her up with me for the day. Well, we got along great! I was thrilled the next year when she did end up coming to our school. Katybeth lives in Portland, OR with her husband Jimmy and their daughter Matilda (Tilly).
Will Woodard
Best Man
Will is my first friend. We are only a couple months apart in age and met as infants (with photographic evidence!) We are technically second cousins, but our moms grew up a block from one another in Roanoke Rapids, NC and are basically sisters. I have very fond memories of hanging out through the years in 'RoRap' when we were both visiting our respective grandparents, including eating all the Thanksgiving leftovers out at the lake. Will is former Marine where he trained and worked in calibrations for aircraft. After his service he has turned those skills into a career and currently works at SIMCO near Norfolk, VA.
Will Causby

Causby and I met during lunch period at 'the picnic tables' at Enloe High School. We spent an inordinate amount of time playing pool at his childhood home as well as in pool halls around Raleigh. He's also my go-to for a nice round of frisbee golf. I am lucky to have known his family and remain friends with him despite living in separate states for years. Will lives outside of Raleigh and works at Biogen. He is married to Allison and they have two beautiful little girls Elaina and Maggie.
Grant Hamm
Groomsman
Grant and I met in high school. We had a couple of classes together, but mostly got to know each other while playing hooky. He was one of the infamous 'Beastie Boys' (a term coined by my parents) who were certainly up to no good. Grant was the first of my friends to get hitched, which I don't think anyone would have predicted, to the amazing Erin (an honorary Beastie Boy). He is cofounder and CTO of a very successful consultant business specializing in assisted living facilities and currently lives in Raleigh.
Nathan Koenning
Groomsman
Nathan, another Beastie Boy, and I first met in Cub Scouts. Despite this, and going to the same middle school, we didn't really start hanging out until high school. Nathan has been a good friend to me over the years, and I always considered myself lucky to be able to come back to Raleigh after years away at school and be able to pick up where we left off. We also both got our first dogs over the last year, and I've really enjoyed getting together for doggy play time. Nathan lives in Durham and is a program and education coordinator for a non-profit specializing in blood flow diseases.
Matt Gordon
Groomsman
Matt is Kate's older younger-brother. We're both fishing enthusiasts, but unfortunately have not yet had the opportunity to go out together. Hopefully we can find time soon! Matt is the regulatory team director at Allegheny conservation district working in water quality and nonpoint source pollution control programs. He is engaged to Becca. They recently purchased a home in the Stanton Heights neighborhood of Pittsburgh and are getting married this September!
Travis Gordon

Travis is Kate's younger younger-brother and is a newly minted lawyer. Travis currently lives in 'The Shack' (nicer than it sounds), where all of the Gordon children and many of their friends have lived at some point in the last 15 years, in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. I have really enjoyed getting to know both of Kate's brothers over the past years and consider it an honor that they were both so enthusiastic about supporting me as groomsmen.
