Flight
We recommend flying directly into Edinburgh airport, the closest airport to Peebles. If you want to spend time in London before or after, there is a beautiful train ride from Edinburgh Waverly to London's St. Pancras that takes about 4.5 hours. You can book on trainline.com. There are also many direct flights from London to Edinburgh that take under 1.5 hours.
Travel Note
Uber: If you are coming just for the weekend, we recommend flying into Edinburgh on Friday and Ubering directly from the airport into Peebles (about 40 minutes). Bus: There is a wonderful X62 bus to Peebles that leaves from the Waverly Bus Station in central Edinburgh and runs every 30 minutes. You can tap with your credit card as you enter (no ticket needed), and there are USB charging ports and luggage racks on board. Just make sure you get off at the Eastgate Post Office in Peebles, which is right on the main street where you'll find all of the Peebles hotels. The bus takes approximately one hour.

There are many smaller hotels located on or near High Street (the main street in Peebles), including the Crown Hotel, the Cross Keys, and the Neidpath Inn. All are within a five-minute walk from the shuttle pickup points at the Tontine and Park. There are also a number of nice Airbnbs in the area.

We will have a shuttle running from the Tontine and Park Hotels directly to Neidpath Castle starting at 1:15 on Saturday. The Friday night reception is right next to the Tontine, so once you get to town, you don't need to worry about additional transport.
