If you've ever been here, you know it's a magical place. As graduates of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, the Terrace will always be special to us. Think of us while you watch a sunset over the lake with a beer in hand.
If you're looking for a phenomenal glass of wine (or spirits!), you *must* stop by Wollersheim Winery and Distillery on the other side of the river. It's beautiful, excellent, and another place that's special to us.
If you're staying in Sauk Prairie overnight, definitely grab brunch at the Blue Spoon. Or maybe some gelato. Plus, Nolan's brother practically runs the joint these days.
While we are signing some legal stuff and slipping rings on fingers on Saturday morning, you can check out the country's largest producers-only farmer's market on the Capitol Square in Madison. Definitely get some fresh hot, spicy cheesebread from Stella's.
If one brewery isn't enough for you, Madison has plenty to offer. Capital Brewery in Middleton is a mainstay, but we also like Wisconsin Brewing Co., Next Door, One Barrel, Ale Asylum, Karben 4, and holy crap there are plenty of breweries.
This is one of our favorite restaurants, just a few miles down the river.
If you make it to Devil's Lake, stop by Ski-Hi's orchard for some apples, turnovers, cider, and other treats.
This has been one of our favorite places since college; a beautiful and expansive wilderness with acre after acre of woods, prairies, orchards, waterways, wildlife and more. And, it's a world-class research facility with a lovely visitor center.
Amazing and beautiful gardens. And, the beer garden next to the lake across the street is worth a visit, too.
