After the first date in Oceanside, Kate immediately went home and told her friend she was in love. Naturally, everyone told her to simmer down — but Kate knew exactly what she wanted: a sweet, quiet man with dark hair, green/blue eyes (depending on the day) and a love for the ocean and animals. Nick, on the other hand, had absolutely no idea what he was getting himself into. When he learned Kate was a dog trainer, he imagined a life with someone patient, gentle, and quiet. He was… very wrong. Life took them down separate paths and into different states, but after a few years in Dallas, Kate craved the salt water and found her way back to Southern California to convince Nick she'd be "his wiiiife" (in the Borat accent). They fell in love fast — though convincing the boys (the dogs) took a little more effort. To everyone's surprise, the boys basically had the canine version of Step Brothers: "Did we just become best friends?" "Yep" moment, and suddenly became a pack - beach days, surfing, golf course adventures, and living their best Southern California life together. When Nick accepted a job in San Antonio, the two survived long distance for a few months before Kate followed her heart back to Texas. Now settled in San Antonio, they've built a home filled with laugher, chaos, muddy paws, a bird, a fish, and a lot of vacuuming. While they might not stay in Texas forever, this chapter will always hold a special place in their hearts. They're are so excited to celebrate their story, journey, and forever with all of their favorite people in their home state. LETS GET READY TO PARTAAAY!
