What is Beach Formal attire?

Please Note: our ceremony is on the beach and will be a "toes in the sand" event, so shoes will be optional. Our reception will be inside Wychmere's Ocean Room. Beach Formal Attire is Formal Attire that is suited for the beach! We want everyone to be comfortable on the beach in whatever they chose to wear. For women - Think elegant and flowy! A dress, suit, or jumpsuit all work for a beach formal wedding. Opt for solid, lighter colors (avoiding black, cream, and white) and breathable fabrics. Tea-length dresses and dressy jumpsuits are acceptable for beach formal attire. To up the elegance, wear a fabric such as metallic or lace. Since stilettos are a hazard on the sand, consider wearing a chunky heel or formal sandals. For men - Wear either a suit or a long-sleeved shirt and tie with a jacket and slacks. Opt for solid colors, avoiding black, cream, and white. Consider a breathable fabric such as linen, khaki, or seersucker. Dress shoes are required.
