Wedding: Part Two!

Tinder works! We met in person at one of Logan’s performances in the USMC Commandants Own, and from there it was a combination of fairy tale and comedy show. We bonded over music, marching, and memes.

No proposal would be complete without a gut-wrenching hike down 45 degree cliff faces at La Jolla in California. However, the view overlooking the Pacific was more than worth it. Logan popped the question on June 30th, 2019. Kate’s response was not as romantic as the proposal - “Holy s$&@!”

When a spouse is active duty, the only certain thing is uncertainty. We ended up getting legally married in Kate’s family home on Christmas Eve - Logan’s family was able to facetime, and Evan and Ebony were his witnesses. Kate’s mom, Fiona, and her dad, Dan, spent all morning covering the living room in flowers for the occasion! It was a small, beautiful event, and we are looking forward to being married in the chapel with the rest of our loved ones.
