Local Restaurants in Cobble Hill (Our neighborhood!)

Local Restaurants in Cobble Hill (Our neighborhood!)

Our neighborhood, Cobble Hill, is a really cute neighborhood with a lot of great food. Here are some of our recommendations. If you walk up and down Court St. and Smith St. (right next to each other) you'll come across a lot of good places! Court Street Bagels: Bagels Devocion: Coffee Le French Tart Deli: French baked goods Caputo's Sweet & Cake Shop: Italian baked goods (Get the black & white cookie here!) Court Pastry Shop: Italian baked goods Barely Disfigured: Cocktails Awash: Ethiopian food Nabila: Lebanese food Gage & Tollner: Well-known steakhouse (Reservations recommended) (Also, this is more Downtown Brooklyn than Cobble Hill). Lucali (very hard to get into, FYI!) Smith Street Pizza

Brooklyn Bridge Park & TimeOut Market

Brooklyn Bridge Park & TimeOut Market

55 Water Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201

If you want to see some iconic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, check out Brooklyn Bridge Park! It's a beautiful park connected to DUMBO, a trendy neighborhood of Brooklyn. You can also get a ton of local NYC food all in one place at the TimeOut Market, which has a ton of food stalls of NYC favorites. This is about a 25 min walk from the downtown Brooklyn area, or one stop on the Jay St. Metrotech F train to York street.

New York Transit Museum

99 Schermerhorn Street, Downtown Brooklyn, NY 11201

This is an easy walking distance from Downtown Brooklyn Hotels and is a great way to learn about a core part of NYC History! Be sure to check the website to buy tickets in advance if you plan to go as it is a timed ticket system I believe.

Historic Brooklyn Brownstones and Brooklyn Heights Promenade

Historic Brooklyn Brownstones and Brooklyn Heights Promenade

If you want to see some classic New York architecture, walk around the Brooklyn Heights Neighborhood! There are so many beautiful houses and it will lead you to the Brooklyn Promenade entrance (the address listed) which has some stunning views of the southern tip of Manhattan. This is also walking distance if you are staying in Downtown Brooklyn! We also took our engagement photos in this neighborhood :)

Located a 5 minute walk from the Ace Hotel, this is one of the largest Food Halls in Brooklyn! It has a ton of local NYC restaurants in an food stall setting, making it easy to try out different foods without going far. It also has a Katz Deli stall, which is a famous NYC deli!

The Museum of Modern Art

The Museum of Modern Art

11 West 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019

Fun fact – Ken and Kate's first official date was at the MoMa! If you're looking for an iconic NYC Art Museum that won't take the entire day to get through (The Met is great, but is massive!) you should visit the MoMa. You can get through it in a few hours, and there some famous works of art from Monet, Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Dali, Picasso, Rothko, Jackson Pollock, and more. The MoMa is also walking distance to other famous areas of NYC such as Rockefeller Center, and the southern part of Central Park.
