FAQs

We'll add more information as we get closer, but please feel free to reach out to either of us with your questions!
Question

When should I travel in for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will take place at 6pm on Friday, March 28th. It would be great for our extended family to travel in Thursday, March 27th to spend some time together, but otherwise you can feel free to travel in Friday morning. Our hotel block begins Thursday night, so feel free to travel in then if you would like! Please keep in mind that a Friday afternoon flight will likely cut it too close to the ceremony, as rush hour traffic can create a 1-1.5 hour trip from the airport. To avoid missing the wedding due to unexpected delays, please plan your travel accordingly. We will plan to organize some activities & casual hangs on Saturday following the wedding, but feel free to return home whenever works for you!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We will send out a formal invitation in December or January to request final RSVPs by the beginning of February.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love to see our guests in their best formal attire! Long dresses and suits are encouraged to match the elegant vibe of the day. Tuxes are not required, but feel free to wear one if you want to really dress up. Dress to impress and feel fabulous while celebrating with us!

Question

Should I fly into JFK, LGA, or Newark?

Answer

When booking your travel, we recommend avoiding Newark unless you happen to be staying in New Jersey or on the West Side of Manhattan (which we don't recommend, unless you are visiting other friends or family!) Ubers from Newark airport to Brooklyn are significantly more expensive than from JFK or LaGuardia, and public transit takes a lot longer. If you are staying Downtown Brooklyn, you can easily take the JFK Airtrain to the A subway and then to your hotel for only $11. Ubers may range from $60-100, so we recommend taking the Airtrain and A train if you'd like to save money. Put in the hotel address into Google Maps and it will tell you exactly what transit options to take. LaGuardia airport is also a fine option! You can take the free bus to the subway and take the F train a few blocks away from the hotel. As mentioned, put in the hotel address into Google Maps from the airport and it will tell you exactly what transit options to take. Ubers may be slightly cheaper from Laguardia, but may still be $50-75. Public transit is definitely the cheapest way to get to and from.

Question

If I'm driving, what is the parking situation?

Answer

In Downtown Brooklyn or Manhattan, your only parking options will be a paid parking garage. However, if you're staying in Downtown Brooklyn there is free street parking about a 15 minute walk from Downtown Brooklyn in the residential neighborhoods (where we live). You likely would have to drive around a bit and ensure you aren't parking where it's prohibited, but there is often parking available on the street once you south of Downtown Brooklyn.

Question

Is anything taking place outside?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be inside.
