Yes of course! There are other hotels, and some short-term rentals (like Air BnB) too. Other hotels: Likely the best alternative near Mission Beach: The Dana on Mission Bay There are lots of choices of two, three, and four star hotels a little farther north in Pacific Beach: PB Surfside Inn Pacific Shores Inn Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa ...just to name a few! *If you are not staying at the Bahia, be sure to arrive early for the wedding, so that you can enjoy the rescue seal habitat at the Bahia main entrance before the ceremony.
The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at the Bahia. So once you arrive there for the ceremony, you can stay for the evening until you are ready to return to your accommodations. If you are not staying at the Bahia, a Rideshare (like Uber or Lyft) is likely your best option.
There is ample parking at the Bahia; it is free for guests staying there overnight.
Weather pending, the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to be outdoors!
Black-tie, i.e. tuxedos with black bow ties, a simple long black-tie, or dark suits & formal evening gowns/long dresses. The idea is to get dressed up and feel gorgeous, but we don't want you to stress - if you have a nice suit or a lovely cocktail dress that you like, that will work too.
Nope! just the style that you feel most elegant and beautiful in.
We are hopeful for good weather (it is a key reason we chose to do the wedding here). The weather forecast for San Diego in October hovers around a high of 74 degrees, but it can be even warmer. The low is typically only around 61 degrees. The best part about San Diego weather in October is that it is warm during the day. It can also stay warm at night.
We love love LOVE your kids! But we are trying to limit how many there are at the wedding. So please check your digital invitation to confirm if we included them in our numbers.

Why yes indeed ;)
We do not! We mean it when we say that your presence is the best gift we could ask for. If, beyond that, you want to share your joy with a monetary gift, please consider donating to one of our favorite charities: Denver Dumb Friends League (Animal Rescue) Ocean Conservancy Humane Society (we were unable to link them here)
We are not expecting gifts. We will, however, have a card box at the wedding.
At La Jolla Cove, you can spot dozens, if not hundreds, of sea lions and seals sunbathing and swimming. You can go kayaking, and sometimes see dolphins in the distance. You can visit Torrey Pines and hike to the shore through epic forest and rock formations. This is especially beautiful at sunset. The San Diego Zoo, located in Balboa Park, is the largest and most expansive in the country. Admission is 100% free for military ID holders. Balboa Park itself offers something for everyone. Beyond the "Things To Do," there are plenty of options within walking distance of the Bahia in Mission Bay and Pacific Beach, including beaches, parks, and multiple places to get excellent Mexican food and seafood.
We hope everyone can attend Welcome Drinks on Friday night! We are trying to maximize time with all of our guests :)
No - but we do ask that you consider wearing a mask while traveling. We are bringing a lot of people together from across the country (and some from other continents). So we ask that you *pretty please* reduce your exposure to others while traveling so you keep yourself healthy as well as the rest of us!
