Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Come dressed in whatever you feel comfortable & beautiful in! Pay attention to the forecast as the mountain weather can be fickle! If the weather is really wet we can cozy up in the library for the ceremony. I'll be a in a boho chic outfit of pewter & dark green :) Joel is wearing nice pants & a fisherman sweater (if chilly) or a button down shirt with suspenders (if warmer).

Question

What's the ceremony going to be like?

Answer

The ceremony will be a simple outdoor gathering at 3pm. No procession, no bridal party, no groomsmen, etc. We'll all meet at the front of the Inn and walk out to "the spot" together. Once there, we will stand in a circle with Joel and I, and Dierdre (our officiant) at the focal point in front of the giant dream catcher. If the weather is miserable we will cozy up in the library for the ceremony.

Question

Will there be a rehearsal dinner?

Answer

No. Since we are not doing a traditional procession there is no need to practice. Easy enough to all walk together and stand in a circle ;)

Question

What to expect after the ceremony

Answer

In place of a classic reception we are simply gathering in the Inn's restaurant after the ceremony. We *should* have it to ourselves as they are opening early for us. Our reservation is at 4pm & their full menu will be available. Grab some apps or a full dinner. We are not doing a wedding cake, so if you are wanting a sweet treat feel free to order from their dessert menu.

Question

What's the full schedule of events?

Answer

Our only scheduled events are the ceremony at 3pm on Saturday followed by food in the restaurant. In between the ceremony and dinner we will take photos outside. We wanted to keep it as simple as possible. Feel free to explore the grounds at the Inn or the White Mountains in your down time, or relax ;)

Question

What is there to do at the Inn?

Answer

The Inn has over 100 acres to explore. Complete with trails, horseback riding, and fishing. They also have a game room and lounge. Across the street are glider rides. They serve breakfast from 7:30-9:30am and dinner (typically 6-8:30). The Inn is in the heart of Franconia Notch with easy access to other White Mountain attractions.

Question

What is there to do in the White Mountains?

Answer

The White Mountains are vast with loads to explore. We will be in the Franconia Notch area. There is a tab on this site specifically with things to do in the White Mountains. You can always Google "attractions in Franconia Notch" for more.

Question

What is the weather like in May in the White Mountains?

Answer

The weather can be unpredictable, so definitely check a day or two before the ceremony for the most accurate information. The average high temperature is 51 and the low 39.

Question

Is it an open bar?

Answer

While dinner is covered please be ready to pay for your drinks.

For all the days along the way
