Semi-formal/cocktail attire (cocktail dresses for ladies, and suit and tie or sports coat for men - or traditional Bermuda shorts! https://www.cntraveler.com/stories/2015-01-26/dress-code-how-to-wear-bermuda-shorts). The reception will be outdoors (weather permitting). While the reception will be on a paved patio, cocktail hour will be on grass so consider avoiding stilettos. Additionally, the after-party (bonfire) will be on the beach, so feel free to plan to take off your shoes!
Typically sunny with highs in the low 80s and lows in low-mid 70s. Great for swimming during the day and comfortable for dinner in the evening.
The flight to Bermuda (L.F. Wade International Airport - St George's) is especially easy from the East Coast! JFK and Newark fly direct, typically in under 2 hours! There are also direct flights from Washington - Reagan (~2 hours and 20 mins) and London, as well as other cities. We STRONGLY suggest booking flights early as airfares to Bermuda tend to increase significantly over time, plus airlines are currently waiving change fees. Passports are needed for all, including infants.
For travel to Bermuda, each traveler is required to fill out a travel authorization form within 3 days prior to travel (https://www.gov.bm/coronavirus-travellers). A PCR test is required within 5 days prior to travel as well as a quick test upon arrival at the Bermuda airport; guests can use all hotel facilities--beach, pools, dining, etc.--while waiting for their arrival test results but cannot leave the hotel until test results are obtained (on average, results take 6-8 hours and will be emailed to you). If applicable, Day 4 tests are also required (day of arrival is Day 0, so only applicable for guests arriving Tuesday or earlier). See www.gotobermuda.com or Bermuda government website for up-to-date information. For traveling to Bermuda, print your negative test results AND traveler authorization and bring to airport. We are planning for all our events to be outdoors (weather permitting), other than the ceremony (which is in a large church that will allow for distancing).
See Wedding Day shuttle schedule on "Schedule" or "Travel" page. Taxis are also generally available at the hotels and the airport. You can also rent mopeds and small electric cars for one or more days, but we would not recommend using these to get to the ceremony or reception.
We arrive in Bermuda Sunday, June 20th, and have scheduled events for guests who have already arrived on Thursday (6/24) and Friday (6/25) - see "Schedule" page. If you arrive prior to the wedding weekend, there are lots of fun things to do in Bermuda - see "Things to Do" page.
Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
While we love your little ones, our ceremony and reception are going to be adults-only (13+) events so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. If you bring kids to Bermuda, we would be happy to help try to arrange babysitters at the hotels during the wedding.
We have room blocks at the Coral Beach Club (the wedding venue) and at the Hamilton Princess (located on the harbour in downtown Hamilton). See "Travel" page for booking information. Bermuda has accommodations ranging from B&B's, inns and home/apartment rentals to five star resorts (such as the Loren and the Rosewood Tucker's Point). We would be more than happy to make recommendations as to where you should stay based on what you are looking for. See "Travel" page.
We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
Yes, we expect to be able to accommodate special diets, but please let us know in advance.
