We recommend flying into DFW International Airport which is about 30 minutes away from the Stockyards.
Guests arriving at the airport are encouraged to take an Uber to their hotel or rent a car from a preferred provider such as Avis, Enterprise, or Hertz. The Dallas–Fort Worth area is large and not particularly known for its public transportation, so rideshare services like Uber are a reliable and popular option.
The Hotel Drover, our wedding venue, is located in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards and is within walking distance of many nearby hotels. We recommend staying at SpringHill Suites Stockyards, where Kate, family, and most of the wedding party will be staying. While SpringHill Suites is just a short walk from the venue, we’ll also be providing a sprinter shuttle bus running continuously between the SpringHill Suites Hotel and the Hotel Drover from the afternoon until 1:00 AM. We hope this makes your day as smooth and enjoyable as possible by offering a convenient, stress-free way to get to and from the celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Texas weather can be unpredictable—that’s part of the fun! In late December, you can typically expect daytime highs around 56°F and lows around 36°F. That said, we’ve had everything from sunny, mild holidays to the occasional snow. It’s best to keep an eye on the forecast as the date gets closer so you can pack accordingly.
Both the ceremony and reception will take place in Legacy Hall on the second floor of Hotel Drover, located in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Absolutely. Once you receive your formal invitation, please note any food allergies on the enclosed RSVP card. If you choose to RSVP online at that time, you may indicate them there as well.
The ceremony will take place outdoors on a covered balcony. The cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors.
If you're joining us in Texas during the holiday season, please note that bank holidays and closures may affect your travel plans and daily conveniences. This is especially important for our international guests. Texas Bank Holidays & Closures: Christmas Eve: Banks close early Christmas Day: Closed New Year’s Eve: Open New Year’s Day: Closed
