Aurena Green

Maid of Honor

Aurena and Katarina met in first grade at Nativity Catholic School. From that day on the two were inseparable and often referred to themselves as 'Kataurena.' Their classmates knew they were a package deal and their current teacher always advised their next year's teacher to keep their desks on opposites sides of the classroom. They grew up side by side, passing notes, gifting each other envelopes stuffed with stickers and trinkets, talking on the phone after school, hacking people's Neopets accounts, and prank calling. One of their most memorable moments is when they performed 'Complicated' in the talent show. Legend has it that it was the first time anyone ever saw their principal smile. Since then, they've have made memory upon memory and their bond is one that'll last a lifetime.

Lauren Hinson

Maid of Honor

Lauren and Katarina met in their neighborhood at the ripe old age of 3 years old. They discovered a mutual interest in riding their bikes and playing make believe outside. This is where their friendship first blossomed. Every day after school they would run outside to ride laps around the parking lot loop behind their homes and pretend they were riding ponies through their kingdom. Even as they grew a little more each year, they maintained a special closeness that carried them through all the stages in life that young girls go through. Lauren is that friend who will always pick up the phone when you call, know exactly what to say to make all your worries go away, motivate you, inspire you to be yourself and always set an example of what a true friendship feels like.

Jack Beddard

Best Man

Jack roomed with Robbie for several years at Virginia Tech, where they studied engineering, optics, and Rocket League in equal measure. The living situation eventually became untenable: first physically, because of the shared bathroom, and then academically, due to their regrettably similar study habits. They moved apart before their (first) senior year at school, and both seemed to benefit. Fortunately, the move did not stop Robbie from occupying Jack's new house, where he took advantage of the free laundry and living facilities through their 5th, and final, year at Virginia Tech. Jack now resides in Baltimore, where the distance from his college friend has further improved his good habits and quality of life.

Olivia Ciardi

Bridesmaid

Olivia and Katarina were in the same graduating class in high school. However, their friendship began in Slusher Wing in the fall of 2013. They spent long hours together in the Math Empo, Newman Library and Torg Bridge studying and sharing the latest about their college lives. Olivia was always a phone call or text away. She was the friend every person needs to have in a big state school like Virginia Tech. By senior year, she was well acquainted with Katarina's passion for desserts and picked up a Nutella crepe from Turner before college graduation so that Katarina could indulge one last time in her favorite dessert from campus. The memories of Sake House, Turner Dining Hall, Lasagna at the Cellar, Champs Cheese Fries and Big Als will always be near and dear to their hearts.

Kate McDonald

Bridesmaid

Kate is Katarina's future sister-in-law and the two met in December of 2016 at the McDonald's house. She made Katarina feel welcome from the start with her super friendly nature and fun energy. From the moment Katarina met Kate, she always thought that she radiated a positivity and glow that reminds her of Kate Middleton! She helped Katarina get her very first job at Carahsoft which was an amazing opportunity that launched Katarina's career in technology sales. Katarina treasures her memories with Kate at holiday gatherings, Robbie's surprise birthday party in Reston, the trip to Denver, Kate and Chris' visit to Morehead City and Kentucky! Katarina looks forward to many more games of fishbowl with Kate and drinking her delicious Cranberry Moscow mules!

Liz Boettke

Bridesmaid

Liz is Katarina's future sister-in-law! She is the type of person who fills the room with her infectious energy and her spontaneous Facetimes always brighten Katarina's day. Katarina has always felt an easy connection to Liz, especially given Liz's appreciation for great Latin music and culture. Liz is also the type of future sister-in-law who is there during the good and the bad. She was the first person to Facetime Robbie and Katarina after they shared the news of their engagement. When Katarina's mom suffered a stroke last holiday season, Liz took the time to share her medical knowledge and provide support during a tough time. Katarina treasures her memories with Liz in Denver & at the Lake House for Liz's Birthday. She looks forward to many more family trips & Christmas Eves together!

Sylvia McClure

Bridesmaid

Sylvia and Katarina met in 2005 when Sylvia moved in across the street. Their friendship began behind their bicycle bars. They spent many afternoons riding around the neighborhood, playing Runescape, dressing up and playing make believe in their magical land of Casanora. By middle school they were watching 'The Notebook' in the basement or spending hours taking pictures for FB in the snow-pocalypse of 2009. In college, they made memorable trips to Marco Island, the Outerbanks and Atlantic Beach where they were stranded on an island in a storm. Safe to say they've experienced it all. Sylvia never ceases to inspire Katarina with her humility and motivation as a young entrepreneur. She's forever thankful for her friendship and for the many more beach trip memories they will make together!

Brittany Rosenthal

Bridesmaid

Brittany and Katarina met the very first day of their freshman year at Virginia Tech (GO HOKIES!). They were roommates who microwaved s'mores and snacked on a lot of Lucky Charms. Britt introduced Katarina to her good friend Caitlin who then introduced Katarina to Robbie a few years later. The foundation of their friendship was in their passion for food and their love of the Virginia Tech experience. They spent many nights studying at Deets while eating oatmeal fudge bars, grabbing brunch at D2, tailgating on center street and on the balcony of the SK house. Britt has always inspired Katarina to travel and try new adventures! Katarina is very thankful that her freshman year roomie will be flying all the way from San Francisco to be apart of the wedding

Andrew O'Grady

Groomsman

On his second day of college, Andrew was interrupted by a parent moving their child into the dorm across the hall. The mom popped her head into Andrew's room and asked him to be friends with her son, Robbie. Andrew and Robbie quickly bonded over their engineering classes and enthusiasm for football tailgates. They lived together for 2 years (and a few concussions), and Andrew remains one of Robbie's closest friends today.

Sean Tkacik

Groomsman

Sean and Robbie originally crossed paths in middle school, when Robbie was invited to a party at Sean’s house. The party resulted in some mild property damage, which Sean cunningly pinned on Robbie, the least auspicious attendee he could think of. Irony kicked in and Robbie ended up becoming increasingly close friends with Sean throughout high school and college. The guilt eventually consumed Sean, and he came clean to his parents. Sean learned a valuable lesson in honesty and karma, realizing he’d likely have cooler friends if he hadn’t thrown Robbie under the bus.

Alec Martin

Groomsman

He is a very kind person.

Travis Hicks

Groomsman

At 6'2 and 130 lbs, the 8th grade version of Robbie resembled little more than a walking adam's apple. This did not stop Travis from seeing potential in spindly teen. Travis and Robbie spent most of their time playing Xbox and watching UFC. Their friendship endured through high school and college, and the two still talk on a weekly basis despite their distance.

Chris DeHoff

Groomsman

Don't let his quiet demeanor fool you, Chris is a a riot. The low-key funny-guy is set to become Robbie's brother in-law come October. Chris loves golf, instagram products, and miller lite. He is also quite the athlete, and is affectionately known in the local pickle-ball circles as “the male Serena Williams.”

Stephen Boettke

Groomsman

Stephen is Robbie's brother-in-law. He loves the outdoors, and has a natural gift for starting fires. He dreams of starting a big family on a plot of land in rural Virginia. Lamentably for those ambitions, he is married to Robbie’s sister Liz. Keep on dreaming Stephen.
