Our Story
Katarina & Robbie met on October 21, 2016 in the first semester of their senior year at Virginia Tech. Katarina spontaneously skipped her Dance Team's Date Party and joined her friends for a night out in downtown Blacksburg. Meanwhile, Robbie was at Sharkey's Bar with a few friends, one of which was dating Katarina's good friend at the time. They all met up at Sharkey's that night and Katarina noticed that one of them had a particularly great smile and decided to introduce herself. Enter, Robbie! One of the first things he told her was that he would take his future wife's last name. Little did he know he was talking to his future wife in that very moment. So who's taking whose last name? You will find out on the wedding day. Just kidding ;)
5 weeks later, Robbie asked Katarina to be his girlfriend. This pic is at Timberline Ski Resort where Robbie taught Katarina how to ski for the first time in January 2017. Click on the below pics to read about their dating journey to engagement!
This picture was taken in Robbie's 5th year at Virginia Tech when Katarina would visit him in Blacksburg and pretend like she was still in college. It was a fun year!
In 2018, Robbie moved to Morehead City, NC for his first job out of college. Katarina went remote and joined him living by the beach in this charming town that is forever near and dear to their hearts
In 2019, Robbie and Katarina traveled to Germany for Oktoberfest. It was Robbie's first trip abroad! They visited Avignon & Leon in France and then Madrid in Spain. It was a memorable trip!
On 01/26/2020, they moved to Philly. Shortly after settling into their new city life, the pandemic hit. During lockdown they walked daily on train tracks lined with cherry blossoms & did many puzzles
Katarina waited eagerly for her dream dog and after 8 months of waiting, Robbie & Katarina brought home their first baby on June 27, 2020. Her name is Belle. She's a Bernese and the apple of their eye
After a year of quarantine, Robbie & Katarina cleaned up and like everyone else, learned how to socialize again! This picture is at their friends Monica and Ryan's wedding in Annapolis
July 10, 2021, Katarina traveled to Maine for a girl's trip. When she returned from brunch, Robbie was waiting on the porch with a ring in hand. She has never been so surprised or as happy as that day
