A great downtown brewery and an Athens staple! Creature Comforts beer was featured in Marvel's "Avengers Engame" because the directors loved it so much.
Our neighborhood English Pub in 5 Points. Great for lunch or dinner! Whether you take your bangers and mash at the bar or on the porch, you absolutely can't go wrong here. The fish and chips go down well with a Fuller’s ESB, FYI.
Where we got engaged - look for the Chinese Magnolia! It's a great spot for a walk.
Our recommendation for Sunday morning brunch-they take reservations as well. If you're on the fence, they have pimento cheese stuffed jalapenos in their Bloody Marys. Best Bloody in the city. Count on it.
This place is personally responsible for putting us on a diet leading up to the wedding! When we lived in Five Points we walked here almost every weekend. They have amazing homemade baked goods and bread. Get a morning roll and a latte, then take a loaf of bread to go. Recently named best bread in Georgia by Food and Wine Magazine!
Owned and operated by world renowned Chef, Hugh Acheson, Five and Ten is a place for a special evening. Definitely the most creative menu in town. The bar is fantastic and the restaurant is situated in a historic home on Milledge Avenue. Reservations are highly encouraged! We love this place!
Located in the 5 Points neighborhood, Dinner Party has one of best cocktail programs in town and the best vibe overall. Reservations are highly encouraged or maybe call ahead on the day you'd like to go.
An Athens institution. Fantastic bar accompanied by their Mediterranean style menu. Reservations are highly recommended in advance!
They don't take reservations, but call ahead if you're lucky to nab a spot. Known for their multitude of oysters, seafood offerings, cold beers, and you gotta try the frozen Negroni.. A little Athenian secret for you-at 10pm- oysters on the half shell and their cocktails are half priced!
If you've never walked around UGA before, a stroll through North Campus is a must. See the Arch and finish your walk by ringing the Chapel Bell - it's what UGA alumni and fans do to celebrate!
Nationally famous after their feature on ESPN College Football Saturday, this place is located 15 minutes east of Athens. Cafe Racer is a nice little drive to experience the best biscuits and donuts you can ask for. If you follow Gordon on Instagram, chances are you've seen him post about this little shack. It's unique, fun and the owner, Chris, is as nice as they come. If you're nearby, you might as well experience it! Be sure to order online via their website for easy pick up.
Another great brunch spot, but don't sleep on their dinner, too! A perfect example of a legitimate farm to table style restaurant. Reservations are highly encouraged.
Newest brewery in town. Huge outdoor porch in town to have a few of their fantastic brews. Located on historic Prince Avenue in the Normaltown neighborhood.
Now with two locations! Stop in for one of their sipping chocolates and brownie. Trust us.
Open Thursday 8AM-7PM, Friday: 8AM-5PM, Saturday 9AM-5PM and Sunday 11AM-5PM. Your home for all UGA merchandise. Great place for all you out of town UGA alums to stock up on Georgia gear!
