We are so excited you are joining us on the Cape! We wanted to put together a list of nearby attractions, including plenty of kid friendly options. Some of these ideas are a great way to spend Saturday morning, others take a little more time but if you will be here on Friday or Sunday they could be a great way to spend the day. Also, we don’t know why there are so many spectacular min-golf courses in the area, but there are.

Seagull Beach

125 Sea Gull Rd, Yarmouth, MA 02673

Seagull Road, off South Sea Ave, West Yarmouth Open from 8am to 10pm and staffed from 8am to 4pm, the beach has a bathhouse, showers, and food concessions. You can bring in food but no glass, alcohol or smoking.

Main Street

Main Street, Hyannis, MA

Hyannis has a very charming and walkable main street with shops and restaurants.

John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum

The Museum’s exhibits features videos and photographs spanning the years 1934 to 1963 and is arranged in thematic groupings to reflect John F. Kennedy, his family, his friends and the Cape Cod he so dearly loved. In addition to photography, an orientation video narrated by Walter Cronkite depicts the president’s experiences on the Cape.

Whydah Pirate Museum

Take a look at 18th century pirate treasure from the Whydah, a ship that sunk near Wellfleet in 1717. Located in West Yarmouth it’s an easy trip from both wedding hotels.

Edward Gorey House

Located in Yarmouth Port Common, the Edward Gorey House celebrates and preserves the life and works of Edward Gorey, an American author, illustrator, playwright, set and costume designer. In honor of his legacy, The House, owned and lived in by Gorey himself, displays his diverse and extraordinary talents and reflects his distinct personality.

Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruises

Located a short drive away in Barnstable the boat departs in the morning for a four hour trip. This is a great Friday or Sunday morning activity, you would be cutting it close on time to try a Saturday trip.

These two hour boat trips are a nice way to learn more about the Cape Cod coastline, marshes and wildlife.

Pirates and their ships. Rhett would like you to know that Pirate’s Cove is the best mini-golf of the four.

Skull Island

This mini-golf course boast “island-themed professional landscaping.” They also have go karts, a driving range, arcade, batting cages and kick ball.

Cape Cod Inflatable Park

Cape Codder Water Park
