Flight

Reno Airport

For those of you flying in from out of town, we recommend that you book your flights into the Reno airport (RNO). South Lake Tahoe is just over an hour drive from Reno.

Sacramento Airport

Another airport option for out-of-town guests is Sacramento (SMF). Drive time to South Lake Tahoe is 2 hours along the South Fork of the American River.

Rental Car

Enterprise, Hertz, Avis etc.

You will likely need to rent a car. A number of rental car companies can be found at the Reno or Sacramento Airport.

Travel Note

Shuttle from Reno Airport to South Lake Tahoe

If you don't want to rent a car, there is a shuttle service the runs from the RENO airport to South Lake Tahoe at regular intervals throughout the day. The shuttle drops you off at the casinos where you can be picked up by a friend or uber/lyft to your accomodation.

Camp Concord

Camp Concord is a summer camp on Fallen Leaf Lake, just 10 minutes outside South Lake Tahoe. Day use of the camp is open to all on Friday and Saturday. Additionally, anyone who would like to stay at the camp Fri and/or Sat night can! This would give you full advantage of the camp's facilities and the weekends' events, and you won't have to figure out a ride home after the party! **IMPORTANT** to note is the cabins are primitive. They don't have heat or plumbing, and most have bunk beds. You will have to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. If the cabins fill up, people who already know each other may have to share. There are communal bathrooms with hot showers. The fee is $35/night and includes breakfast. Again, this is a really fun option but only if you are the camping type. We don't want this to turn into a Fyre Festival situation! If you are interested, please say so in your RSVP and venmo Kat (@Kathleen-Gray-1) by August 15th.

Camp Richardson Hotel

Camp Richardson is a resort hotel on Lake Tahoe, 2 miles from Camp Concord. We have reserved 20 lakeside "summer" cabins (unheated but with bathrooms and a kitchenette) as well as several rooms in the hotel. The 1 and 2 bedroom cabins have a rustic Lake Tahoe style with full hotel amenities. Please call and mention that you are part of the "Gray-Grimes wedding" for rates and availability.

Fireside Lodge

Fireside Lodge is a motel-style bed and breakfast in South Lake Tahoe, 3.5 miles from Camp Concord. We have reserved their 10 suites for the weekend. Please call and mention that you are part of the "Gray-Grimes wedding" for rates and availability. The lodge also has a really sweet game room. There is air hockey.

Airbnb

In addition to hotels there are many wonderful private homes and condos to rent in the area. Airbnb, VRBO, and Turnkey are just a few of the companies that operate vacation rentals in town. This is a great option for larger groups or families.
