The #1 visited spot on the lake. It can get crazy, but for good reason. The drive itself to get there is spectacular and the views once you're there are even better. Recommend getting there before 9 AM to make sure you get a parking spot.
Mt. Tallac is one tallest mountains in the basin. The trailhead is just down the road from the venue. At it's peak you will enjoy stunning views of the lake and desolation wilderness. It's about 9 miles round trip, and worth the effort. However, if you're looking for something shorter, the first couple miles are mellow and offer great views of fallen leaf lake and Tallac.
Pick up a full on downhill bike or a single speed cruiser, and hit the trails. There is also a SUP renal right next door.
Beautiful, golden sand beach just down the road from the venue. Some other beaches in the area are baldwin and kiva, also just down the road. As with many attractions in this area, we recommend getting there earlier rather than later to insure you get a parking spot. Or cruise down the paved bike path and avoid the traffic!
Cool bar and restaurant right on the water at camp Richardson. If you're staying in one of the cabins there, definitely check it out. They're known for their rum runners and calamari.
The name says it all - it's crazy good.
Good brews and good people. This is our favorite brewery in the area.
Awesome spot at stateline. They usually have live music in the afternoon, good food, beer and lawn games.
Great food and smoothies for breakfast and lunch. Casual and fairly priced. Very close to a mid town beach and bike path.
