Since this is a destination wedding, we will require RSVPs a bit earlier than usual. As soon as you know if you will/will not be joining us, please let us know! The deadline for our room block is February 10, 2025. We understand plans change, but ask that you kindly reply with your final RSVP no later than February 10, 2025.
Please consult your invitation for your +1 status. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jack or Kat directly!
While there are a few children involved in the ceremony, we ask that if your child is not a part of the wedding, they do not attend the wedding events. However, we LOVE your kids and would be so happy for you to bring your children along with you on vacation (we chose a family-friendly resort for a reason!). The resort offers childcare services which we can help you coordinate if needed! If you have any questions about this, please reach out to Kat directly and she will help with your planning.
The welcome party on June 12 will be outdoors. The ceremony and cocktail reception on June 13 will be outdoors. The reception on June 13 will be indoors with air conditioning.
It's Cancun in June....we know we are asking you to come to the jungle during the height of Summer. Our bad. Our top priority is comfort, dancing, and good times, so please wear something you are comfortable in! The ceremony and cocktail reception will be outdoors, while the reception will be indoors in an air-conditioned room. We ask that you aim for semi-formal attire (i.e. linen pants & dress shirts for men, midi or maxi dresses for women). Think breathable, lightweight and airy. The groom will be in head to toe linen if that helps. He's a sweaty guy. The bride will be in a wedding dress, which we do not recommend for guests.
Mexico is one of our favorite destinations around the world, which is why we chose to have our wedding here! Like anywhere you visit, it's important to be aware of yourself and your belongings while in the airport and public places, but once you step onto the transfer to the hotel and are inside the resort, there are no safety concerns at all. Each room contains a safe and there is 24/7 security on-site.
There are filtered water stations throughout the resort to refill your bottles (labeled "agua potable"), and these are perfectly safe to drink from! For those with sensitive stomachs, we recommend using this filtered water to brush your teeth with as well. Ice and water in all the restaurants and bars on site is filtered and safe to drink as well.
Absolutely. This resort is excellent with allergies, and will ask you about any allergies at check-in. They will help you prepare an allergen card to show the restaurants and buffets. At each place you eat, the manager or chef will be happy to consult you on your options and will take the time to make sure you can either find something safe to eat, or will prepare a special dish for you free of your allergens. We will also make sure to accommodate your allergies at our wedding events. Trust us, Kat's an expert with this. She and her family are allergic to everything.
We ask that you arrive to the Gravity Sky Bar by 4:30 pm, so you can get situated and we can begin promptly at 5:00 pm! Please note: If you are planning to take a golf cart or speedboat to the ceremony, there can be a bit of a wait at times, so please calculate this into your plans!
Reach out to us any time! We are happy to help with anything.
