Why elope?

Answer

Because that’s what was best for us and our families. Life is wonderfully busy, and we are busy enjoying the ride. Planning a big wedding does not fit into our lives right now, but getting married was a no-brainer for us. We wanted to keep it as simple as possible❤️

Which party should I come to?

Answer

Whichever party you want! Please come to whichever celebration suits your schedule and life. We'd love to see you there! There will be more physical space at our Midwestern party, but we always say the more the merrier!

How come you kept the wedding a secret?

Answer

We are so lucky to have many friends and family who love us. Really, we know. We are so blessed. We kept it on the DL because we knew it wouldn't be big, and we didn't want anyone who couldn't travel to feel sad about missing the ceremony, and we definitely didn't want some friends/family to feel pressure to travel, take time off work, arrange childcare, spend a lot of money to get here. And quite frankly, we just wanted to be married. Plus we're both such crybabies that we'd rather not blubber to each other for our vows in front of 150 people, so we kept it to a very small group. But we do love to celebrate, and look forward to celebrating our union with you there!
