Covid-19 Wedding Update

Answer

We understand that due to the current health emergency of COVID-19, it might be difficult to make travel plans. But for now, please note that our wedding is still happening as planned. Should there be any sudden changes please rest assure that we will notify you immediately. If you are ready to book your travel, please check your cancelation policies and be sure your booking is refundable.

Colombia is safer than it is ever been, however, please be careful like you would in any foreign country. Do not expose yourself late at night, try to always be aware of your surroundings, and use your common sense.

Does Colombia have seasons?

Answer

No. Colombia's climate depends on therman floors, which vary according to the position of each of the cities you are visiting. So when you travel the country, you can find temperatures higher than 30°C or even temperaturas below 0°C. Make sure you check the temperatures of each city before you pack.

Which are the most important cities in Colombia?

Answer

Each Colombian city has something different to offer. Medellín, Bogotá and Cartagena, for example, are some of the cities that receive the biggest amount of tourists each year. Also Cali, Santa Marta and San Andres are great places to see!

What currency is used in Colombia?

Answer

The Colombian peso or COP. Check google for the most updated exchange rate. We do not recommend exchanging money in Colombia or at any airports or exchange houses. Be sure you have an international card you can withdraw money or exchange at your local bank before you leave.

How far along should I book my accommodations ?

Answer

The sooner the better. The whole month of December is a very busy time in Colombia and considered high season, therefore please book your flights and hotels as soon as possible. We also recommend to book your hotel in Villa de Leyva (wedding location) first, as this is a very popular destination specially for New Year's Eve- Make sure you check cancelation policies in case of a change due to Covid-19
