The theme of the wedding is Halloween Formal! These are just ideas to inspire you - feel free to get creative and have fun with it. Think darkly romantic, elegantly eerie, hauntingly stylish, and just a little over-the-top (in the best way). The ladies (or anyone in a dress!) might choose black lace gowns, vintage silhouettes with puffed or flared sleeves, or flowing pieces in deep jewel tones like emerald, amethyst, or blood red. Fabrics like velvet, satin, or tulle are always a win. Add a corset bodice, dark floral prints, and accessories like chokers, moody makeup, or a masquerade mask, and you’ve nailed the “goth glam” vibe. Men (or anyone in a suit!) might opt for a sleek black suit with dark accents, or go for something more theatrical - like a velvet blazer, brocade vest, or Victorian-style tailcoat. Think Crimson Peak, The Addams Family, Sleepy Hollow, or even a dark fairytale villain for inspiration. Keep it festive but polished. Basically, dress like you’re attending a cursed black-tie gala...in a 140-year-old haunted furnace. Costumes are absolutely welcome - as long as they fit the spooky, elegant theme. Vampires, witches, haunted aristocrats, masquerade ghosts? Yes please. Inflatable dinosaur? Love the energy, but probably not this time.
You bet!
We ask that guests arrive to Sloss between 4:30pm - 4:45pm.
Guests can park in the spacious North Field, under the 1st Avenue North bridge, which you can access from the intersection of 32nd Street and 2nd Avenue North. (The main gate of Sloss - where the train is - will be closed). Once parked, you'll enter through the fence adjacent to the Water Tower, and follow the signs to the ceremony site. To make things easier (and more fun!) we recommend Uber or ride sharing so you can skip the parking hunt and enjoy the night safely.
