Please RSVP online on the dedicated page. We are not accepting any mail-in RSVP’s!
Please let us know if you'll be attending the celebration by May 1st!
Yes. An RSVP is absolutely required for everyone planning to attend, as it is essential in planning for the ceremony seating & reception meals.
Although we would love to welcome everyone who wants to come and celebrate our big day with us, we can only accommodate people listed on your invitation. We have a strict limit of people allowed at the venue, and are at capacity which means we are sadly unable to allow additional guests. If you have any questions, please reach out. Thank you for understanding!
We have decided to have an adult-only celebration, with the exception of kids in our wedding party and immediate family. Unfortunately, we cannot host any additional children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding.
As soon as you know your plans have changed and/or you are not able to attend, please inform us as soon as possible!
We will miss your presence at the celebration, but understand that everyone may not be able to attend in person. Unfortunately, we will not be live-streaming or recording the wedding, but will share photos online after the big day!
We do not have any reserved blocks of rooms reserved nearby, with the exception of our immediate family. Please refer to our ‘Travel Info’ page on the website to see recommendations for lodging and general travel!
Yes, you really can! We chose a special package with the venue at Caswell Farm so that our guests are welcome to camp overnight onsite, if you wish. Please note that only car or tent camping is permitted, and the venue does not allow campers or RV's. The camping area is a nice grassy spot near the main parking lot, only a few steps away from the bathrooms (with running toilets and sinks) and the rest of the farm buildings. We will sleep at the farmhouse that night, and would love to hang out together if you wish to stay longer and camp at the farm. Keep in mind that autumn nights in Maine can be chilly, but with enough bedding and warm clothing, it can still be a fun time to enjoy being outside! Please reach out if you have specific questions about camping.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you are inclined to get us a gift, we are registered at Zola, IKEA, and Target, and greatly appreciate any items you’d like to gift us, or special funds that you'd like to contribute to on our registry! All of the details can be found on our dedicated Registry page. If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can bring it to the reception, or mail it to us (Katama Murray & Nathaniel Sharp) at: PO Box 807, Falmouth, MA 02541.
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Please wear something that you’re comfortable and joyful in during the autumn season in the Northeast, and dress up to celebrate this special day! Temperatures in Maine can be unpredictable, especially in the autumn as the nights get colder. Don't forget an extra pair of shoes (for dancing or just because), as well as warmer layers if need be.
Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, but we get plenty of rain, wind, and sometimes snow in the state of Maine. We recommend keeping a regular eye on the weather in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding - be sure to have your umbrella and warm clothes ready just in case!
The ceremony will begin at 2pm in the garden courtyard. Please arrive early (at least 30 minutes beforehand is recommended) so you have time to park or be dropped off at Caswell Farm, use the restroom if need be, find a seat, and enjoy the beautiful farm in the woods of Maine.
The farm’s address is 120 Whitney Road in Gray Maine (zip is 04039). The venue is called Caswell Farm & Wedding Barn, and should appear as that when searched with a GPS.
The farm has ample parking in a dedicated grassy lot. Upon arrival, you will see signage directing you towards guest parking. If you’re being dropped off by another form of transportation, you may follow the guest parking and have the vehicle turn back around to maintain smooth traffic flow.
We are not providing any formal transportation for the event, but our ceremony and reception are taking place in the same area at Caswell Farm. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Lyft, Uber, or local taxis are also great options for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink. Please remember that onsite camping is allowed overnight in a tent or car in the case that you need to refrain from driving for safety.
Yes, the wedding venue where the ceremony and reception is located at is wheelchair accessible!
The wedding celebration will take place both indoors and outdoors, with slight changes made closer to the event in the case of wet weather. Ideally, the ceremony will take place outdoors, seated dinner under a tent on the lawn, and the bar, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, and more located in the beautiful farm barn.
After the ceremony, guests can enjoy cocktail hour near the barn where snacks and drinks will be flowing. Dinner will be served at 5pm, followed by with dancing, dessert, and merriment. Be sure to check out the lawn games and venue spaces in between the ceremony and seated dinner!
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a family-style sit-down dinner with several types of cuisine to choose from. The farm grows its own flowers and vegetables, which are incorporated into the delicious dishes served by Barn & Table Catering. Our dinner will include farm-grown food, as well as locally sourced products that Barn & Table works hard to support and use in all of their premier food.
We are making our best effort to ensure that multiple dining options are available, including options for those with dietary restrictions. There will be both vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options during cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert.
We would love nothing more than to have an open bar, but due to several factors, there will be a cash bar only in the barn during the celebration.
The formal reception and DJ dancing will end at 11pm, after which the after party will commence! Feel free to join us for continued dancing and celebration for another couple of hours by the fire pit and surrounding areas at the venue. The after party is allowed to go until 1am at the farm, though we may end up calling it a night before then!
We appreciate you wanting to help capture the magic of our special day, but ask you to please refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony. We are asking all guests to kindly put their phones away and shut them off during the unplugged ceremony, so that we can all be present at that moment. After the ceremony, we welcome you to capture what brings you joy, and share anything with us via a Google Drive folder, which will be posted and shared at the venue with instructions.
We love photos and videos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, since we’d like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to post pictures and tag us so we can see them too! Nathaniel’s Instagram: @nathaniel_sharp Katama’s Instagram: @teachpeaceprints
At this time, there are currently no health and safety measures in place at the venue, including any related to COVID-19. With that said, we would greatly appreciate you testing yourself for COVID before traveling and arriving at the celebration, as we’d like to try our best to keep one another safe, particularly those who are elderly and immunocompromised.
Any additional updates pertaining to the wedding will be posted here on the website. Be sure to reach out to one of us if you have further questions or concerns!
We were fortunate to have two sets of professional photographs taken around the time we got engaged. The first session was captured by Hattie Mae Photography in Blue Hill, Maine the day before we got engaged, surrounded by wild Lupines at Blue Hill Mountain. The second session was captured by the sea by Trent Hagerty in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
