When we entered medical school, we were told by many of our instructors that they found love over their cadavers in anatomy lab during their first semester of school. Unfortunately, this was not quite the case for us. Whenever we had differences of opinion in lab, we were both ~so smart~ that we each had trouble believing we were the one in the wrong and had been known to get into the occasional tiff. However, as time progressed, we actually ended up becoming semi-friends. We found ourselves at all of the same social events, were flag-football teammates, and even ran a ?50K? relay together to Katie's dismay. This is not to say there were no setbacks (such as when Brendan secretly installed a John Cena Google extension on Katie's school laptop that plagued her computer for months). Regardless of the emotional distress caused by the aforementioned incident, we continued to progress in our friendship. We began dating in April, 2019, bonded by our faith, our nerdiness, and our mutual love of dancing. We have been best friends ever since. Our relationship has truly only gotten better over time, leading us to engagement in September of 2020. We cannot believe how lucky we are to have found each other and are so excited to take on our next chapter hand-in-hand.
