Matron of Honor
Best friends since 1992. Song that reminds me of Anna: Castle on the Hill - Ed Sheeran
Bridesmaid
We've been friends since middle school: I told her, "someone can't come to my birthday party, so you can come instead". Wow, I was a jerk and she shouldn't have befriended me... but she did! Cruising around town, writing rap songs in McDonalds parking lots, the restaurants we've gone to, the stories we've shared over drinks at our favorite bars, the tears of laughter I have cried with you - you are an immaculate human being my sweet, strong, beautiful friend. *Also, Winnie's godmother Song that reminds me of Rachel: She Ain't You - Chris Brown (there's a dance and everything)
Bridesmaid
Halie and her family have been like an extra family to me. We ran around playing peewee soccer, our lockers were always next to eachother (Kastelic/Keays), and by the time we got to high school we were getting into all of our shenanigans together still. Halie has always been a constant in my life - sort of a lighthouse in a storm for me. She is a joy and a comfort to have around, and even though we're (mostly?) grown up, we will always laugh stupidly and bring out the immaturity in each other. Song that reminds me of Halie: Fu*kin' Perfect - Pink
Bridesmaid
Lisa is my "destiny" friend! I know that she is meant to be in my life - chance and luck brought us together in the SMC dining hall freshman year, and we decided to have lunch together that day just because. I think from the beginning, Lisa and I embraced everything about each other. We weren't quite sure where we fit in at SMC yet, and we found each other with so many things in common that we quickly became partners in crime. We lived just a floor apart in Holy Cross, and when she transferred to Miami of Ohio sophomore year, I was devastated. Shattered. Heartbroken. I didn't know what I'd do without my Leese - but distance didn't change much...at all. And we're still partners in crime. Song that reminds me of Lisa: Crazy Beautiful Life - Kesha
Bridesmaid
Have you ever had a friend who feeds your soul? That's my Madeline. Madeline and I actually met through Lisa at Saint Mary's (they were random roommates!) and she is smart, wise, and sharp as a whip. I have also always felt very protected around Madeline, she will hug me when I don't know I need it and she reads me so easily. Madeline is also from Nashville and is a TANK drinking her whiskey and I think she may have saved my life in more ways than one over the years...the best to laugh with, the best to cry with - whatever I need. She's also super weird. Song that reminds me of her: Ladylike - Ingrid Andress
Bridesmaid
You're so lucky if you have a Stephanie in your life. So, she's small - like, really petite. So picture this, August 2011: we were in an elevator at SMC going to an event on campus together (we were neighbors freshman year), and I knew we had like some sort of 16 year old savant in our class of 2015, and I stupidly asked Stephanie just because she's petite if she's the "super smart 16 year old or something". Yes, she's super smart but no - she was only 2 months younger than me. Steph is bold and holds absolutely nothing back, she's fun, and if I need somebody to do something absolutely ridiculous with, she's my girl. She is small but mighty, she may be petite but her heart is massive (no cardiomegaly). Song that reminds me of Steph: Somebody to You - The Vamps
Bridesmaid
Kate may be the sweetest person I know, but she can burp any word (or sentence...) you give her. Sweet Kate is a California girl living in Seattle, and we met at SMC. She seems quiet and reserved, and then all of the sudden this confident, brilliant woman is more outrageous and goofy than I can keep up with. Kate cares more than I knew a person could - she stunned me in college: she would ask about every exam I took, ask about family members I forgot I told her about, she would check in with me when I didn't know I needed to be checked on. To say Kate is a blessing is not enough - our nights out AND our nights in, are always precious and legendary. Song that reminds me of Kate: Shut Up and Dance - Walk the Moon
Bridesmaid
Hillary was my random roomie freshman year at SMC (let's go, 204!). I am totally going to admit that when I Facebook stalked her I was terrified that she was a very pink-loving, upbeat ginger. I was SO wrong about my assumptions. Hill was the best thing to happen to me at that time in my life. I was cynical and having a hard time making friends, being away at school and from the very first second she walked into our dorm room after soccer practice, happy as can be (also, sweaty), she made me feel safe and like I had just met a new family member I was missing. Honestly, Hillary doesn't give you a choice but to love her - her unfaltering optimism, excitement for life, and love for God and others is a gift to this world. Song that reminds me of Hill: Party in the USA - Miley Cyrus
Bridesmaid
Kelsey transferred to SMC (then to Notre Dame...traitor) for the remainder of our time at school together. I have to be transparent when I say I didn't know the profound impact she'd have on me when we graduated and would be hundreds of miles apart. Kels and I can talk for hours about anything. She is someone I am profoundly proud of to have as a friend, and she has comforted me in ways she doesn't know about. In college we drank, we laughed, we stayed up too late, then had brunch in the morning. I'll cherish and laugh at ridiculous memories like trying pushing your grandma's car out of my cold, snowy driveway and failing (thank you, AAA), and snacking with you after Hill's Bachelorette party. What I would do for a Kels hug right now. Song that reminds me of Kels: Shake it Off - TSwift
