Q: I BOOKED MY HOTEL AT BALLY'S. CAN I STILL STAY THERE?
A: Even though we hate Bally's, please keep your reservation, as it is still a convenient option to our new venue and ensures you are accommodated during the busy summer months. Though we will not be celebrating there, the hotel block & rate will still be honored.
Q: IF I'M AT BALLY'S HOW WILL I GET TO THE NEW VENUE?
A: Atlantic One is located steps across the boardwalk from Bally's. In fact, you don't even have to go outside to get to the venue from Bally's. You can connect indoors from Bally's through Caesars and take the skybridge over to ACX1 Studios (The Pier at Caesars). The walk from Bally's to the venue whether through Caesars or on the boardwalk takes 5-10 minutes. As a courtesy to you and for those who have concerns over the walk, the boardwalk tram car has been rented to take you from the boardwalk entrance of Bally's directly to the end of the pier where the venue is located.
Q: IF I'M NOT AT BALLY'S HOW WILL I GET TO THE VENUE?
A: For those coming from the Bartram Avenue area, shuttle service will be provided to the boardwalk entrance at Caesar's, or to the entrance of Caesar's in the event of inclement weather where you can connect to the venue indoors. For those coming from elsewhere, the closest parking garage or drop off point is at Caesars - either at the boardwalk on ramp or the casino entrance in case of inclement weather where you can connect to the venue indoors. Atlantic One is located in the back most part of ACX1 Studios, out over the Atlantic Ocean. The walk from the boardwalk entrance of ACX1 studios is about 5 minutes and the walk from Caesars indoors is about 7-8 minutes. For your convenience, the boardwalk tram car has been rented to take you from the boardwalk entrance of Caesar's/ACX1 Studios to the back of the pier, where the venue is located.
Q: HAS THE DRESS CODE CHANGED?
A: The dress code is still formal attire - Atlantic One is a fabulous venue that commands a dress to impress! Given our drastic change of scenery, we will no longer be leaning into the Boardwalk Empire/1920s theme - but sparkle & glitz is still welcome if it floats your boat! Though this was never encouraged, please reconsider any thoughts to dress as a full-blown flapper, gangster, or bootlegger.
Q: IS IT STILL A COCKTAIL-STYLE RECEPTION AT 6:30PM?
A: The party still starts at the same time, 6:30pm! Boardwalk tramcar shuttle service from the boardwalk entrance of Bally's & the entrance of ACX1 Studios begins at 6pm. We are still partying cocktail style. There will be an abundance of food & beverage to your heart's content, and vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options will be available. As for all other events for our wedding weekend, they are still on as scheduled.
Q: SO HOW MUCH DO YOU HATE BALLY'S?
A: Now and forever, we hate Bally's as much as we love each other - so that's a lot! However, we do not encourage anyone who already has a room booked at Bally's to inconvenience themselves to book at a different hotel. If you plan to gamble or dine at the casinos, it is your choice where you spend your money....all we're saying is that Caesar's is next door.
Q: TELL US WHAT HAPPENED SO WE DON'T ASK AT YOUR WEDDING!
1. On 5/3/2024 we were notified for the first time that our venue was actively under construction. 2. Aesthetically, the remodel is an interior design crime that destroyed all the character so essential to the Roaring 20s theme. To make matters worse, only half of the venue would be renovated. 3. Bally's could not guarantee that construction would be done for our event. They provided incomparable backup options and a diluted promise that it would be finished BUT - if it wasn't, we'd be notified of where our event would take place "a week before". 4. Bally's initially presented no compensatory offer. When pressed, their offer was insulting given the magnitude of inconvenience. We had no choice but to cancel at Bally's & pivot. 5. In a moment of self-pity & frustration, Amanda posted on Tik Tok about this and it blew up! The post landed in the hands of the owner of ACX1 Studios/Atlantic One, and they reached out via DM explaining they had just re-opened their doors after closing from COVID, and were available to host us! It was either fate, or The Queen's divine intervention. 6. ACX1 has been incredibly generous, motivated, and accommodating in helping us through this unbelievable event, turning a negative into a positive and creating what we know will be so much better than Bally's. We are so lucky to be there, and can't wait to celebrate with all of you! We are profoundly grateful to all of you for your support & love through this memorable time. Now, we party on!
