Casual downstairs, slightly more elevated upstairs. Great American cuisine featuring everything from seafood to steaks to sandwiches. Great for dine in or take out.
For a nice seafood dinner, robust oyster bar, or an unbeatable Happy Hour. Everything is delicious, but you cannot skip the Maine Chowder. Fantastic cocktails, impressive wine list and fantastic food. Local's Tip: Happy Hour starts at 4pm and there is always a line. Get there at 3:30 to secure a spot.
Treat yourself to an Atlantic City Institution, serving upscale American & fine steaks in a historic building. Fantastic cocktails, impressive wine list, and fantastic food - just like its sister restaurant Dock's. Local's Tip: Happy hour starts at 4 with half-priced appetizers that can definitely pass for dinner - like seafood towers & waygu beef sliders. One of the best deals on the island! Get in line at 3:30 or you probably won't get in.
Yeah, it really is worth the hype. Local's Tip: The back parking lot has a trailer with bar seats serving the full menu. They're first come first serve, but there's usually a spot for two. Reservations are incredibly difficult to get, but the inside bar seats are first come, first served too.
Where the locals get their hoagies & cheesesteaks. Many meats are made in house including fresh carved turkey, roast beef, and other specials!
Seafood shack with chowders, lobster rolls, and other roadside seafood delights that rival anything coming out of Maine. Take out or enjoy the limited seating on the dock overlooking the bay that puts on spectacular sunsets.
If you haven't been to Atlantic City, we guess you should go for a hoagie or cheesesteak (fun fact: Amanda has never been there!). Other hoagie places that we love and won't have a line around the block include Sack O' Subs in Ventnor (pending re-opening) & Dino's in Margate.
Limited outdoor seating available, but best for takeout. Awesome smoked meats as well as premium, creative sandwiches, poke bowls, and salads. Sister restaurant to Betty's Seafood Shack - you cannot go wrong with a casual lunch from either of these spots
THE iconic, nostalgic Atlantic City institution that's both frozen in time and yet so with the times. Truly, it's almost a sin to say you've been to AC without a stop at TBG. Come as you are to this retro-feeling joint that glows red in the night and encapsulates a certain Atlantic City je ne sais quoi. Best part: the bar is 24 hours, the kitchen closes at 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. We see TBG pizza in our wedding night future.
Do you want to feel like a shore local in the best possible way? Then go here. No frills bar with dark & cozy indoor seating & a lively back patio. Don't let the disposable plates & cash-only policy fool you - the food is great & the specials are even more impressive. It's also open 'til 4am.
Excellent casual bruncheonette with everything you could ever want from morning until 2pm. Equally as good at indulgent as they are health-conscious. Dine in or take out. First come first served. Cash only.
If you are not a pancake person, this isn't the place for you. You MUST try the blueberry pancakes. There are 3 Gilchrist locations along the island, but we prefer this one at Gardener's Basin for their outdoor dock seating. First come, first served. Get there for an early breakfast or be prepared to wait - sometimes for over an hour on the weekends. While you're waiting, head next door to Back Bay Ale House and sit at their outdoor container bar for a little pancake pregame.
Our beach :) But really, it's the best beach in AC! Free to the public, bathrooms, handicap accessible, and lifeguard station. Street parking can be tough, but where there's a will there's a way.
If you're biking/running/exercising, head towards Ventnor. If you're looking for entertainment, we're confident you'll find your way.
Old-world Italian cuisine meets Italian Americanism at its finest. Surround yourself with photos of celebrities and icons who have dined at Angelos, as well as those we Italians worship. To get the real Angelo's experience, you need to be drinking the house red, on tap. Reservations are accepted for parties of 10 or more, otherwise, first come first served. Full service bar while you wait...and on the weekends, expect to wait.
If you're staying near Bartram Avenue, Brittany's is a great spot to grab a casual breakfast or lunch. Seating is limited - they're great for take out, too.
